Professional and Patient!
I had gotten a DWI and lets just say it was a horrible experience. I am a school teacher and was so scared. I read online that The Dick Law firm had a lot of good reviews so I decided to check it out. Stephen walked me though the process step by step very throughly and explained all my options. I nev...

The Best Of The Best: An Outstanding Attorney!
Hiring Steve was one of the best decisions of my life. When I unexpectedly found myself in serious legal trouble, I was overwhelmed, terrified, lost and beyond fearful for my future. Steve was referred to me by a trusted long-time friend impressed with Steve's character and integrity. Her referral...

The jury is out
I've been a client for 5 months and some of the past clients' statements are certainly off-base, but some may be true. I am told that this is a really crooked legal system and there are few defendant rights. I don't understand why an innocent person needs to be subjected to so much hardship and los...

part of the machine
Upon reading these positive reviews, we hired Mr. Hesse. He is a nice man, but here's what you need to know: he is a part of the Williamson County machine of sticking it to anyone who happens to make a mistake there. The consequences laid down for a first offense possession charge were so extensive a...
First of all, I am distressed to see a review like this. I do not know who posted it but from the review, it appears to be a person charged with a felony offense. The biggest problem I see is that he/she is complaining about the result after the case has concluded. The time for me to help any client is before the case has concluded in some way. I have many more tools to use before case is over through plea or through trial. I give each of my clients my personal cell phone so that they can reach me 24/7. It is not uncommon for someone who has been charged with a felony offense to face a difficult decision: take a plea offer from the State or fight the charges in a jury trial. It can be a difficult decision and I advise my clients to help them make the right decision in their case. Sometimes the choice can be between two unpleasant options and the client must choose something he doesn't really want. In each and every case, it is always the client's decision whether to accept a plea bargain or to proceed to trial. I regret that I wasn't better able to help this client make the right decision in his/her case. This person seems especially upset by the conditions of probation that have been imposed upon them for a felony offense. I can tell you that I often oppose specific conditions of probation recommended by the probation department to the Court. Ultimately, the judge has nearly total control over the specific conditions of probation that are imposed in an individual case. In fact if this person were to call me, I would be happy to return to court and attempt to get his/her conditions amended. I am not one of the good old boys and I am known to be an outspoken critic of the powers that be in Williamson County. I pride myself on being a lawyer who is known for fighting for his clients no matter the consequences. -Steve Hesse

Excellent lawyer
Stephen Hesse has the best quality -integrity. He is very straightforward, knowledgeable, and honest. Any criminal case scenario will have life-long consequences, and this lawyer has ability to see the case in the "big picture" of life, and work it out for the best interests of his client
"I'm proud to endorse Stephen B. Hesse as a lawyer who is serious about DWI defense. As a member of The National College for DUI Defense, Stephen is committed to DWI defense, and will work hard to help you through this stressful situation. If you've been charged with a Georgetown DWI, call Stephen and ask for help."
"Steve is very well respected in our community. He is knowledgeable, experienced, and ethical. Steve is a strong advocate for his clients."
"I have known Steve Hesse for many years. He was a hard working prosecutor and an even harder working defense lawyer. I have referred clients to him because of his integrity and fine sense of fairness. I trust that Steve will answer their questions and that they will be able to make well informed decisions regarding their legal matter. For these reasons and others, I endorse this lawyer."
"Steve always has a smile on his face, and is always a gentlemen. But don't let that fool you. He fights hard for his clients and knows the law."
"I took over a case from Mr. Hesse in Williamson County. He was extremely helpful during the transfer and offered to help me in any way. The client was difficult to deal with, and Mr. Hesse gave me great pointers with regards to how to deal with him. Mr. Hesse had also laid a great foundation with the prosecutor for me to work from and was integral to obtaining the dismissal. I would definitely recommend hiring Mr. Hesse because he is the consummate professional."
"Steve is rock solid. He's the kind of lawyer we all aspire to be. I had the good fortune of spending 5 days with him as my roommate at a legal conference and I quickly realized that he's a genuinely good person and someone I greatly admire as a fellow criminal defense lawyer. I plan to stay in touch with Steve. I will definitely use him as a resource when I need advice for my own criminal defense practice."
"I endorse Steve. He is a tough and experienced trial lawyer that really goes to bat for his clients."
"I absolutely endorse Steve Hesse. His dedication to clients and diligent pursuit of a positive outcome cannot be questioned. He knows the law and, just as important, knows the right people to help facilitate positive results. I would recommend Steve without hesitation."
"I endorse this lawyer. As a former prosecutor and a mainstay around the courthouse in Williamson County, Steve has earned a reputation as an attorney who is well prepared and smart on the law. In negotiations on cases, Steve is constantly searching for creative solutions that allow his clients to receive the best representation possible in one of the toughest places to face prosecution. In trial on a very serious Aggravated Robbery Trial in which his client was facing multiple life sentences, I found Steve to anticipate my every argument and counter it well at every turn. He will provide excellent representation in any criminal matter."
"I endorse this lawyer 100%. Steve is one of the finest criminal defense attorneys I've had the privilege to know. He is an attorney who always has a firm grasp of the law who zealously represents each and every client. Steve is also an attorney who cares about the rule of law....and maintains the highest of legal and thical standards in every case with every client. Simply put, if I were in trouble, I would call Steve first!"
