I was scared of going through a divorce: scared of the process and scared of the outcome. Raquel Vallejo was a Godsend! This past year was probably the worst time of my life. First a Domestic Violence charge and then a contentious divorce with child custody. On top of this I had to sell the ...home, be a loving mother for a toddler and work full-time. Raquel guided me through the process and gave me realistic expectations given my situation and years of marriage. At times I did not want to hear it but she kept me grounded with the reality of the situation. The relationship with my now ex-spouse during the divorce process was not easy and at times it was terrifying. Raquel “held my hand” when I needed it most, she listened, and she truly cared. There were numerous unpleasant times during the divorce. Throughout it all Raquel always kept me focused and gave me strength to keep going, especially during mediation. She worked tirelessly and aggressively to ensure the best possible outcome for my daughter and me. She saved me a lot of money in alimony and I can’t thank her enough. Raquel is a sharp lawyer who knows her stuff. She was always well prepared for court, on time with appointments, organized, and quick to respond to all my questions and concerns. A true professional! She is very approachable and above all human. The fact that she is fully bilingual was of tremendous help for me as she helps me understand some things in my own native language. I am writing at this time to commend Raquel Vallejo for her time, efforts and results. A divorce is a horrible thing to go thru and Raquel was there for me not only as a lawyer but as a true supportive resource. She made a bad experience less painful by knowing that I had a lawyer that would guide me... every step of the way. From the first session she told me what my options were and what I could except from the NJ Courts. She allowed me to make my own decisions, but also told me what to realistically expect.
