Jane Bevans

I retained Ms. Bevans to have my child support increased after 8 years . Unfortunately, she managed to have it lowered substantially. I agree with the previous reviewer; she is a nice person, but chatting about trivial things (such as her "art work"or how the chairs are uncomfortable) instead of the... issue, doesn't look good in front of the client.

Ms Bevans was an excellent lawyer for me. She has a talented legal mind and is an agile strategist. All the while she was honest with me and offered just the right balance of support and practical guidance. She is able to cut through the confusion and obfuscation and see what is real and workable.... She is highly responsible, very efficient and practical. She has a good sense of humor, which is welcome in sometimes stressful situations. She seems to be well liked by the court personnel and respected by the judge, which I think is very important.

I went through a divorce that was as bad as can be. Ms. Bevans not only provided excellent legal counsel but helped me to keep my focus on what was important in life then and for the future. She listened to my concerns and continually worked with me to find workable solutions. I also appreciated ...Ms. Bevan's practical, cost conscious approach to the process to control costs. This last item is not something I've seen in many attorneys. I have already recommended Ms. Bevans to friends in need of good guildance and would do so again without hesitation.

Jane assisted me with a complex intra-state Custody and Child Support series of litigations. She has a very sweet demeanor which makes her a pleasure to work with, but does not hold up well in court. A few times she appeared too timid when in front of the judge and was easily bullied by an agressiv...e (and rude) opposing counsel. Menawhile, we were able to come to a resolution, but it was not ideal.
