The people who wrote the bad reviews may not understand that a lawyer's job is not to teach his clients the legal system, but to do his job. It is not unusual for a lawyer to be unavailable to chat about every detail of every case. He has a paralegal at the office who is happy to assist with urgent q...uestions when Mr Toto is, for instance, in court. I am the widow of Walter Sohl Jr, the man who wrote a review above and it is true. My late husband was facing years and was given time served and probation as soon as we retained him. He has been our family lawyer ever since. Lawyers are not fairies who can perform the impossible, but without having one us white water rafting without a life vest. He is highly respected in the morning community. His prices a very reasonable.

Tot was hired and did everything to help the oppositions and nothing to help me. There were many parts to the case and he lost every single one of them, with the exception of the one where he failed to show up for court. He did everything wrong. He could not even schedule a date and of course lied se...veral times to me. He said he sent a letter to get my firearms back and they said he sent the wrong letter and should know better. I had to do that myself and schedule the case myself since he was not capable of doing it. I lost thousands of dollars because of his mistakes and lack of doing anything that he promised to do. He always takes the side of the criminal. Stay away from him at all costs. Representing yourself is a much better option. We even checked the night before and the morning of the trial to see if he would be there and were told each time that he would be there. I have to wonder why he couldn't really make it if you read some of his other reviews.

So I hired Mr TOTO for my husbands case in Middlesex County and at first I felt like he had his best interest at heart because as soon as I paid him he went to visit him at the correction center something his previous lawyer never did so because of that small detail I got blinded my husband is being ...held base on test results and possession charge the test results came back negative but he still have the minor possession charge which in many different lawyers opinion my husband should of been home Mr Toto was supposed to file a pre detention hearing for the possession and never did he kept telling us he did we called the court and they told us he file one for the wrong case so weeks go by and I keep calling him asking him if he file for the right one he tells me yes which it was a lie he basically bought time for the prosecutor so the prosecutor can create more evidence he sold out my husband because my husband is a different race and not only that lied to us multiple times telling me we had court and we didn’t I kept going to the court house for nothing wasting my time by the way I live an hour away so yes I would be furious most of the time I felt nothing but disrespect from this lawyer I wish I would of caught on to the early signs before my husband case was far too deep I feel like I’m responsible for putting my guard down I could of probably had my husband home with our son now I don’t know what will be the outcome but I will pray

I was facing a drug charge and my 5th driving while suspended. I went to H Scott Aalsberg and he did not make me feel comfortable whatsoever on top of being EXPENSIVE as --- Toto was literally half the price and got me off of EVERTHING. Mr. Toto is a no B.S. serious lawyer who is highly respected in NJ criminal court jurisdictions by prosecutors, judges, and other lawyers alike. He handled my DUI case with care. He wasn't afraid to grab the bull by the horns, wrestle with the prosecution, and show them they had no case. He had no pr...oblem getting my case adjourned a couple of times until the timing was right, and then ultimately got the charges dismissed. I've worked with several lawyers on different types of cases and in different states and would rate his professionalism as second to none. He was reasonably priced and was willing to work with me, allowing me to pay his retainer in installments. The NJ DUI criminal court system is the most crooked and one sided circus event of any place I've ever seen, with no jury trial, and the judge deciding on the case, is on the same payroll as the cop who writes the ridiculous tickets. Otherwords, your gonna get screwed sideways unless you have a really good lawyer on your side. Mr. Toto, being a former prosecutor, knows all of the tricks they play and knows how to counter act them. I would not hesitate to recomend him to anybody facing charges whose penalties threaten to wreck one's quality of life.
