Used to be excellent. Now is untrustworthy and doesn't communicate.

Molly Jansen has been my lawyer for the better part of 2 decades and early on in our relationship she was excellent. Communicative and supportive. Recently however her ability to be a good lawyer - and moreover a trusted "friend" - has all but abandoned her. I hired Molly Jansen and paid her upf...ront (in 2 payments) at her request. I recall being a couple days late on my second payment, and she was very quick to reprimand me. Aside from that minor character trait that shown through that day (which I suppose was understandable to be fair), during Molly Jansen's defense of me, she regularly: - Made commitments to speak to me, and update me, that were not kept. - Was late to virtual court appearances. (one time simply did not appear) - Requested, received and then re-requested documentation from me, indicating that it had been lost, misplaced, etc. - Provided me information that was inaccurate. Information that I later was informed of [correctly] from other parties in of the judicial system. Additionally, Molly Jansen made a personal financial commitment to me that she simply forfeit. Not a portion of it was honored, there was no attempt at a conversation to restructure her offer, I was never even told that she made a hasty mistake that she regretted, she effectively "ghosted" me. Oh yeah... One other thing... While in the middle of my defense, Molly Jansen was suspended from practicing law (19PDJ074). At the time of Molly's suspension she did not convey this information to me personally and directly, but instead I was a recipient of a LinkedIn post from her, where she was explaining to her connections that she was looking for work. Her title - prophetically and ironically - stated "Former Attorney". To make matter worse, following Molly Jansen's suspension she passed me on to a (first) replacement attorney who she explained was aware of my situation and who would help guide me across the finish line, and who was very similar to her in his fierce defense of his clients. When I spoke to this gentleman however, he was totally unaware of the details of my situation, and had no desire to defend me. When I contacted Molly Jansen about this, she just simply besmirched this attorney's name and reputation; which of course made me curious why she referred me to him in the first place (?). Ultimately I did get a referral to a very nice and professional lawyer who got me to-and-through my sentencing. Molly Jansen, in my opinion, has just simply and unfortunately lost her touch as the excellent litigator she once was, and was derelict of her duty to me. More regrettably, she appears to have has also lost some of her personal integrity, and in doing so my respect as a personal acquaintance; all because of a relatively small financial commitment that she made to me, that she welched on. I do not advise that you consult with her. I do not advise that you hire her.

What A Joke

I hired Jansen for a serious felony charge against my son. From the get go she acted like she was going to do something, yet actions are louder than words. My son is an alcoholic and struggled in the bonding phase of the entire ordeal. Molly's advise, "Stop Drinking". When the important things were h...appening, like hearings, and building a case for his defense, Molly was never around. Her assistants were usually 20 to 30 minutes late for court, and never knew what was going on. One actually told my son to make an important case decision, never discussed prior, 5 minutes before going in front of the judge. In the end Molly force fed my son the original plea deal from the DA, continually badgering him to take the deal because, "If you go to trial and lose your going to do real time in DOC! Never laying out a defense plan never discussing one. He never even gave his side of the story to the judge. At sentencing, she gave a lack luster speech to the judge, and he gave my son the exact sentence that the DA requested. She actually acted like she got him some kind of deal?!? In the end I paid her a huge sum of money to do nothing. This is a great example of buyer beware. So, buyers BEWARE!

Molly Jansen is the best of the best

Molly Jansen was a beacon of hope when my options appeared to be limited, and the likelihood of a satisfactory resolution seemed impossible. I worked with two lawyers prior to hiring Molly for my defense case. They had primed me to believe that had I decided to proceed to trial, I’d be found guilty ...and the punishment would be much worse than if I took the plea. Either way, I was told to prepare for some jail time. I was filled with fear as I am a single mother of two young children and the thought of going to jail simply crushed me. I knew that without counsel, I wouldn’t stand a chance against the Judge assigned to my case. She was known to pride herself on her harsh approach for prosecution. Time was not on my side as my case had aged nearly two years at this point. I knew with all certainty that I had to seek counsel that was indefatigable, pristine and professional. Simply stated, I needed the best of the best. That’s when I found Molly. I called her office late in the day, so I assumed I’d leave a message with her receptionist and hear back sometime later that week. That was not the case. Molly called me back immediately! I was over the moon. Her confidence absolutely enthralled me!! She arranged to meet with me that same week! In just a few hours she was able to turn chaos into order. She understood that we had a very short time frame to prepare for trial, but she assured me it was the right way to go. Her decorum was impressive to say the least. She was very thorough, clear and concise in her work. Not once was I left feeling uncertain. Her professionalism was impeccable. She returned every single one of my calls, emails, and texts, without hesitation. At each of my court dates, she was ready and waiting, she treated my time as something worth value. I never had to wait on her. There was one court date that Molly, unfortunately was in a car accident earlier that morning. I hadn't the slightest idea of things being in disarray as she, from the hospital, arranged to have a colleague of hers represent me in court that day! Even with her own problems, she put me, her client first. I was wowed by her invincibility! Through the series of unfortunate events, she never dropped the ball. She was back on my case within a week and ready to go to trail. I was so grateful! Molly never asked anything of me as she took on all the work herself, making me feel at ease. She made sure to take time to review things prior to the date of trial so that I'd surely be in the know. The day of trial I was a mess. I was more than nervous, but Molly has a way with words unlike any other. Within minutes she eased my anxiety and reassured me of the outcome being in my favor. Her positivity is absolutely infectious. I had all the faith in the world that Molly, through her hard work and dedication, would clear my name. Her fight in the courtroom completely wowed me! She was confident and strong. Her words flowed without a blunder. As court was in recess for lunch, Molly chose to spend the hour with me. She didn't sit with me to simply talk business. She lent an ear and heard me out while helping lighten the mood and the stresses of the day. She was not robotic or rehearsed. She was a person who truly showed that she cared and was expressively passionate about her work. Shortly after court resumed, the jury came back with the verdict of NOT GUILTY!!! I had no words other than THANK YOU! I was overjoyed! As Molly and I walked out of the courtroom, she hugged me and said "I knew we could do it!" but it was she that did it! Not only was Molly able to defend me from an unjust accusation, her calm and empathetic demeanor offered emotional succor to myself and those I care about most. My children and I are eternally grateful for her service and I hereby recommend Ms. Molly Jansen without reservation!

Terrible

I fired my first attorney because he did not present any evidence at the DMV hearing that I wanted a breath test that was captured on audio and given to the DA by the police. He also did not represent me in court, it was always someone else, he only represented me at the DMV hearing. Molly talked a... good game but don't fall for her BS on the radio. I was informed by Kathy, Mollys receptionist, that Molly would be representing me and assured me that Molly would not send a different attorney because this was a problem that I had with my first attorney. I hired Molly for DUI and she had all the video and audio proving that I wanted a breath test and I was not the person to get my truck stuck, (It was my step-daughter that was operating my truck as written in the police report, I wasn't even at the scene when the police showed up.) I was arrested for DUI an hour and a half after the police were at the scene when I was walking to the scene from my house to help my step-daughter. Molly didn't even bother to show up at my trial date twice. I had her paid in full. Molly sent another attorney the day of my trial to represent me, (because I was told she didn't have a good reputor with the judge), that I never met and he knew nothing about my case and he told me to plead guilty. He told me that he was not going to cross examine any witnesses or present any evidence the day of my trial, (an hour before my trial). The judge said that she would not continue my trial being she already had to continue it because Molly did not show up to my first trial date. I ended up firing him because if he is not going to fight for me then I have to fight for myself and present the evidence myself. Needless to say I am not an experienced "liar" and I was found guilty. My life has been ruined since my conviction because I am in the Automotive and Diesel Industry and it is next to impossible to find a job in this industry with a DUI on your record. What Molly did should be considered criminal and she should be brought up on charges and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Molly should be banned from ever representing anybody in a court of law. By my experience, beware and stay away. Molly will take your money and hang you out to dry. I don't know how Molly or anyone associated with her can sleep at night. Run fast and far away from Molly Jansen and her associate goons!!

Don't Fall for Molly's Sales Pitch or her Radio Ads

Beware! When I first met Molly she put on a great show. As soon as I paid the retainer she disappeared, no longer responding to e-mails or calls. She didn't even show up for the most important hearing of my case as promised. Instead, at the last minute she sent a lawyer from a completely different l...aw firm, who knew nothing about my case. Then when the lawyer she sent totally threw my case, Molly tried to distance herself further from responsibility for the situation by saying that she wasn’t the one who went to the hearing.
