My case was handled over 4 years ago now. I have no excuse for waiting so long to give a great review. I suppose excellent work can go un noticed because everything goes as expected! It's when things are messed up we want our story heard. Craig deserves the most lavish appreciation I can give. H...

With much appreciation
I had a very unusual case and was on a very short time frame. Mr. Andresen not only met the time line, but he and his team walked me through the process and provided me options for a resolution. I have truly appreciated him and his team.

He went above and beyond to make sure I understood everything and that I was getting treated fairly. We kept running into issues with my case and he worked really hard to get it done.

"Craig Andresen is a great attorney especially for a client who has a difficult bankruptcy problem. I've worked with Craig both in working in the same law office and in referrring clients to him. This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2014.
Reprimand/Probation issued in MN, 2014
updated on 02/19/2021Reprimand/probation means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The State gives the lawyer a public reprimand in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior. The State also monitors the lawyer's activities for a period of time in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
“The public discipline involved record keeping and nothing more. I was later elected Treasurer, Secretary, and then Vice Chair of the Minnesota State Bar Association's Bankruptcy Section. I am licensed to practice in good standing before the Minnesota Supreme Court, the bankruptcy courts, and the 8th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.”

The appeals court held that the chapter 7 means test applied to cases converted to chapter 7 fom chapter 13, as well as to cases originally filed under chapter 7.
A Statement of Presumption of Abuse filed by the U.S. Trustee under section 704(b)(1)(A) must unequivocally state whether or not the U.S. Trustee believes that a presumption of abuse has arisen.
The court held that a valid spendthrift clause excluded the debtor's interest in the trust from the bankruptcy estate.
The cour held that a lawnmower is exempt under Minn. Stat. section 550.37 subd. 4.
Where the debtors are not eligible for chapter 11 or 13, the debtors' income is irrelevant and they are entitled to proceed under chapter 7.
