Caring attorney

Was facing a year mandatory in jail Megan had those driving charges dismissed when another attorney was pushing a green sheet for me to pled out. She's by far what a real attorney is suppose to be I'd hire her before I'd take another court appointed attorney were I'm nothing to them.

All-Star Attorney! Went *WAY* above and beyond my expecations to get me Justice!!!

I was charged with some serious offenses that I was innocent of BUT with a different lawyer I could have been in prison for as much as 20 years!! (Maybe more!) Attorney Meaghan Cary was my SECOND court-appointed public defender because the first one I had representing me was arrested for a DUI in ...the same city and county as my charges were out of. Even with her late start representing me and though she was coming into a case that had been going through pre-trial hearings for over a year already she was on top of ALL the details of my case within a few weeks which was clearly evident after meeting her right after she was appointed to be my Defense Attorney Cary goes the extra mile and does her homework by reading and re-reading probably dozens of times all the documents in my case from my previous attorney and the District Attorney's office. Long story short, I was facing a possibility of doing 20+ years for crimes I did not commit and solely as a result of her competence, intelligence and thorough investigating all the possible angles I ended up with all my charges dismissed except for the most minor charge. At the end of the 2 years it took to get my case resolved and originally looking forward to potentially 20 years behind bars if the DA had their way I ONLY received a Continuance Without A Finding (CWOF) with just 6 short months of Unsupervised Probation! In fact a friend even recommended her to me to ask for once my original attorney was arrested and not fit to be defending me in the same courthouse he was being tried in. I couldn't have gotten any luckier when she was assigned to my case and I have more gratitude and respect for Attorney Meaghan Cary than any other lawyer and nearly any other person I've met in the almost 30 years I've been alive.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"Meaghan and I have worked together and workshopped each other's cases for nearly a decade, and I can honestly say she is one of the best lawyers I know. I still feel like I "got away with something" by being able to hire her to work in my firm as a supervisor this summer!"
