Marlo Bruch was patient and understanding.

Marlo Bruch was patient and understanding during my child custody case. She was helpful in detailing all my options and helping me try to figure out what was best for my kids. She never made promises she couldn't keep, instead she would explain the potential outcomes from any decision we made. ... Marlo is very quick and responsive, if you need to talk to her she makes time to get back with you very quickly. She worked with my graveyard shift schedule, making time to see me later in the day so I could sleep first. Marlo is a great lawyer, she makes the law understandable and removes a lot of confusion by explaining things as you go. I would definitely recommend her for her commonsense approach and her compassion.

Non-compete clause, work separation

I originally approached Marlo Bruch to see about contesting a unfairly written non-compete agreement in a healthcare environment with one of the bigger health systems in the area. She agreed that the verbiage used in structuring my non-compete clause were extremely overreaching and excessive. The n...on-compete was restructured allowing me to move to another specialty in healthcare without jeopardizing the spirit and intent of the non-compete and keeping both parties content. Marlo was excellent. Unfortunately for me, I was working with a troubled management team at the team which read my actions to restructure my contract as a desire to leave the company. Marlo definitely smoothed this transition, which could have easily damaged my relationship with my former company. Her many connections in the local legal arena also helped- I have no doubt. She is very skillful and well networked and made sure both parties (not just me) were content with the direction going forward. I found her to be passionate in her field and well experienced in the many facets of employment law. I'm not one to give out excellent remarks lightly, but I do believe they were well earned. I couldn't imagine having to navigate this process on my own, or have another attorney who could have achieved such shining results. Thanks Marlo!

One of the Best!

I would be happy to recommend Ms. Bruno to anyone in need of legal services at a reasonable cost. When first presenting my need for services I found her proactive toward reaching my goals as quickly and effectively as possible. She was empathic and supported me through my lack of knowledge as to how... the legal system could work for me. She and her paralegal communicated with me often thru pdf documents so I knew she was committed to getting results more than simply earning a living.

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2014.

Reprimand issued in MI, 2014

updated on 10/19/2015

Reprimand means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The State gives the lawyer a public reprimand in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior. Details of the infraction are made part of the public record.

Marlo’s comment:

“There was a conflict of interest between two clients (2010-2011). I did not withdraw from representation as quickly as I should have. I have a much more strict screening process for conflicts and new clients.”
