The Only Lawyer I Would Retain!

I cannot say enough about Lance D. Gill. He greatly exceeded my expectations. Lance handled my parents' estate, which also included property and accounts in another country. Lance was extremely prompt, reliable, and answered all of my questions. His rates are quite a bit lower than elsewhere. La...nce also prepared deeds for our home in a very short period of time. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else for a lawyer.

Highly Recommend

I was very happy with Lance as my attorney. From the very beginning he was straight forward with what I should expect during my case. He did not sugar coat anything or give me unrealistic expectations which was extremely helpful in keeping me level headed during the stressful time of dealing with cou...rt when emotions were running high. He was very timely in responding. He was very professional yet friendly and treated me and my case like he was dealing with actual lives and not just a way to make money. I would highly recommend attorney Lance Gill to anyone who is in need of an attorney.

Goes above and beyond

I was given Lance's name by a coworker who was using him for her divorce. His fee was extraordinarily reasonable and I liked him immediately, so I hired him. My case was extremely complicated (three states that had to be considered, a spouse who was playing games every step of the way, constant cur...ve balls being thrown at him/us), yet he never faltered in getting the job done. He worked TIRELESSLY on my case and even somehow managed to retain his sense of humor, even when I was ready to crash and burn. I have already recommended his services to another family member and would absolutely recommend him to anyone who needs an attorney. As I told him numerous times throughout the case, Lance is the exception to every lawyer joke there is.

Happily divorced

I have never needed an attorney before and after calling around to find the best one for me, I spoke with Lance, and stopped my search. He was very informative from the beginning and was upfront about the cost of his service. His fees are fair and he was very patient with me as I took my time to deci...de what was best for me. He is very knowledgable and answered every question I asked even if I wasn't going to like the answer. He was prepared every step of the way and ready to fight for me. I highly recommend him as your next attorney.

Fine for real estate closings but not for divorce

As a seasoned real estate broker I have dealt with Lance Gill for many years and sent him most of my my real estate closings; he follows through and is knowledgeable. However, when I retained him to handle my divorce he quoted an upfront flat fee and bailed out when the going got tough. Prior to ac...cepting me as a divorce client he had all the legal documents to review and he personally knew how my spouse's attorney operates, so he fully knew the game before offering his services. Once the opposing attorney started taking up his time he chose to withdraw from the case, and left me with a Motion to Withdraw - available on public record for all to see - whose language implies that I was the problem. I asked him to re-write it to state the real problems as reflecting his current health issues and frustration in dealing with the opposing attorney, which he had repeatedly stated in emails to me, but he refused. He did refund my fees. I would recommend him for procedural matters, but not as a fighter who plans to win, as he gave up as soon as the heat of battle commenced. "Winners never quit; quitters never win" - Vince L, Former Coach of the Green Bay Packers.

Pursuant to my ethical requirements, I withdrew from representing this client because he refused to follow my advice. At every turn in the process, he objected to or refused to participate in well expected matters. For example, when it came to routine discovery requests made by opposing counsel, this client responded that he would not provide the requested documents. This was only one exemple of this client's desire to stonewall the process. He also wanted to engage in endless irrelevant confrontation to no end. This is supported by the fact that opposing counsel filed a motion to compel against this client, who eventually had to provide the discovery requested. It is untrue that I withdrew because the work load was more than expected or because I was unaware of his wife's attorney's tactics as suggested by this client. Opposing counsel did nothing more than any other attorney would have or should have done in representing her client. To suggest that I was the problem in this case flies in the face of the facts. If one reviews the docket for this case, one would see that this client hired another well-seasoned attorney (after my withdrawal) who also withdrew from representing him. This client, per the docket, has now hired his third attorney. Since two divorce attorneys with over 25 years of experience (myself being one) withdrew from representing this client, it is clear that the problem was the client and not the attorneys he hired. I can say when I did work with this individual as a real estate broker he was just as unreasonable and difficult to work with as he was when I tried to represent him in his divorce case. This client's narrative of the situation that led me to withdraw is false. The main problem with this client in all matters is that he believes he is more intelligent than the professionals he hires to represent him. He believes he can simply dictate to everyone including the court what he will and will not do. As the case docket indicates, he learned his lesson very well. I had no choice but to withdraw from representing this client for the reasons contained in my motion to withdraw and as stated above.
