Kyle L Mastro

I found Kyle on this website and had decent expectations based on his reviews. Things started off great, he seemed very experienced and knowledgeable in working with DUIs. And then when he scheduled my consultation on a Saturday, I was impressed - thinking he was above and beyond with his dedication.... I was soon let down. I was dealing with a first ever DUI. I provided him all info, documents, witnesses, payment etc that he asked for. Once the retainment contract was signed, things went down hill. He forgot my court date(s) and never contacted any of the witnesses for my case. He displayed poor communication and a lack of interest. Again, it was my first ever DUI so I thought it was a winnable case (which I could be wrong) but his lack of interest alone, once the retainer was signed, left a poor taste in my mouth and made me second guess ever hiring him.

My father and I had an issue with one of my student loan companies from my undergraduate education. I live in DC, but my father resides in NJ. I needed a attorney and found Kyle on the internet. I work a lot and Kyle was flexible and made himself available around my schedule. He knew the case law... on the issue my father and I had and he took care of the problem like a pro settling our case without having to go to court, which would have cost me more money. I was impressed by Kyle at the time, but in the past year since our case closed we have had a few issues with our settlement payment arrangement and Kyle has helped me navigate it without even charging me. He really is a good attorney and cares about making sure your case is well managed and resolved for the long term. I would highly recommend Kyle Mastro.

Mr. Mastro was a wonderful attorney in my time of need. He was attentive, thorough, responsible and very helpful. He was also very responsive over the phone. In case he can not answer your call, he makes sure calling you back. He knows exactly what is happening before you even tell him. He is very pr...ofessional and treats you straight forward. He doesn't like to give you false hope and tries to give you all explanation with needed details. I was charged with a 2nd tier DWI (0.14 BAC) , with additional 5 tickets including careless driving and illegal U-turn. From the start Mr. Mastro was very reassuring and kept me informed throughout the process. He provided excellent representation and he managed to negotiate with the prosecutor to get all the charges dismissed other than the DWI and the DWI was reduced from 2nd tier to 1st tier. I was all set to get 7 months+ suspension, and he managed to get me 3 months. I also had other problems as I am not a US citizen. Mr. Mastro was very concern about my immigration consequences, and he didn't want to take a single percent of chance over my immigration matters and guide me accordingly. I would highly recommend Kyle Mastro 100 times over to anyone in NJ. If you get DWI, this is the right person. He is the best.

This with my first dwi why unfortunately I had a very high alcohol BA c. .21. I was in a school zone. Backed in to a pole. And dented my car. Rockaway Township it is very strict . Kyle is amazing he managed to only get me seven months license suspended from and everything else dropped !! I will o...bviously never drink again but I highly recommend Kyle he is very informative and explained everything to you and even after court was over he took the time to explain to me the document that they gave me regarding the IDrc class and if I do this again etc. he was prompt courteous and very professional . It could've been so much worse for my stupid mistake but he was there for me every step of the way and even the night before court spend an hour on the phone with me . I give Kyle a 6+ stars for a rough situation he really got me that there are minimum and a weight off my shoulders . If you need a good DUI attorney definitely call Kyle he is the best ever .

I'd like to preface this review by stating how much I dislike the legal community as a whole. Any interactions I've had with the legal system from something as basic as jury duty to my own personal matters have always left me feeling like there was no hope for humanity. When I was served papers for... a matter last year, I found Kyle here on Avvo and quite honestly didn't expect much just by way of past life experience. Two minutes into the first phone consultation , I realized that not only would I be hiring Kyle..but that he wasn't your run of the mill attorney. Kyle is straight forward and explains the law in a manner that is understandable. By educating his clients he allows them to make informed decisions as opposed to just saying, "this is what you're going to do". At every step of our interaction he was attentive, detail oriented, and always dealt with me directly. You are never passed off to a paralegal or office staff..you get Kyle. My case went to trial and I was impressed with his demeanor, knowledge of the law, and ability to think very quickly on his feet during the cross examination. Kyle's ability to respond so fluidly in the court room is a true testament to how well he knows the law. Brilliance can't be faked--if you work with him, you'll realize that. He won my case, but honestly I still would have been extremely satisfied with his representation had we not won. He was tenacious and advocated for me every step of the way in this matter. Kyle will be my go to attorney for as long as he practices law. I highly recommend him for your legal needs.
