Kenneth Stephen Mitchell-Phillips

Ken Mitchell-Phillips Sr. is a seasoned lawyer with a comprehensive legal and business background spanning over 25 years.  He has worked in a major international law firm with over 500 lawyers, with federal and state government entities, and in several Fortune 500 companies.  Currently, he is the Owner of The Law Offices of Ken Mitchell-Phillips, P.C. where he advises and counsels on business transactions, corporate finance, real estate, estate planning, civil litigation, payment systems, employment law, and bankruptcy & creditor rights.  He is licensed in Oregon and Washington. 

Prior to establishing The Law Offices of Ken Mitchell-Phillips, Ken served as the General Counsel, VP of of Human Resources, Chief Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary for a privately-held technology company and global payment services provider with offices in the U.S., Canada, U.K. and Ireland.  He also has worked for Davis Wright Tremaine, LLP,  a premier international law firm with offices in Seattle, Washington D.C., New York, Alaska, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, and Shanghai.  While there, he focused his practice on mergers and acquisitions, business transactions, corporate finance, real estate, and corporate governance and compliance.  

 After Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, Ken established his own law firm and focused his practice on a wide range of business transactions, corporate finance, real estate, and commercial litigation for small, medium-sized, and large businesses throughout the Pacific Northwest. During this time, he was also appointed to the Board of Governors for the Oregon State Bar and eventually served as Vice-President and Chair of the Access to Justice Committee. He also served as a member of the Standing Committee on Paralegal Education for the American Bar Association and the Lawyer Referral and Information Services Committee.

He graduated from University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a Bachelor’s degree in English and attended Troy State University to earn a Master of Science degree in Business.
