A True Blessing in a Time of Need

I HIGHLY recommend Justin and his team!!! Justin and Ruben were truly a godsend for me and my family. From the very first conversation, I knew we were in the right hands. They were not only knowledgeable and professional, but also incredibly compassionate and understanding of what we were going throu...gh. In a time that felt overwhelming and uncertain, they brought clarity, confidence, and a sense of peace. They fought for us like it was personal and made sure we were informed every step of the way. Thanks to their dedication and expertise, the outcome was better than we could have ever hoped for. I will forever be grateful for everything they’ve done. If you’re looking for someone who will stand by your side and truly cares not just about the case, but about you, this is the lawyer you want in your corner!!

Not a good experience

Unfortunately this was not a good experience with this law firm. I received a demand letter from another attorney and was looking for council. My wife found them online and did a quick consult with Ruben. She asked him to contact me directly for my version of events, but he did not want to do this. O...n 3/18/25; She was able to provide him with limited information and then faxed in a few documents. Then a week went by without hearing anything. My wife sent Ruben an email explaining that we were surprised/frustrated that we had not been in contact with anyone yet. At that point, I guess they felt like they should get in contact with their client and I then talked to Ruben briefly, and he assured me that they would review the documents and contact me before our March 30th deadline. Being that the 30th was on a Sunday, I made sure they were aware and that we needed iron something out before that deadline. On Friday 3/28 at 1pm; we still had no contact from Justin or Ruben. My wife was worried and sent an email to Ruben explaining we still had not heard ANYTHING from Justin. An hour later, I received an email that I should just do what the demand letter suggested and settle for $20,000, without ever talking to Justin about my case. Obviously, I was blown away at the lack of professionalism. I had paid a $1000 retainer and never heard from the actual attorney. It was at that point that I called and emailed, and let them know that I was very upset with this situation. Ruben then called me, but basically talked over me the whole time, suggesting that I just go ahead and settle. Eventually, he set up an appointment for Justin to call me in five days. Justin did call, and when we discussed my case, I asked him if he had seen my email that I had sent him that morning, and unfortunately he had not even read that. He recommended that I just go ahead and settle, and gave me various reasons such as the Duval court system being in disarray. The bottom line is I got a second opinion, and I had to fire this law firm. It took one response letter from my new attorney and my whole situation went away and saved me $20,000. I did ask for a refund from my retainer and they did return $230 of the $1000 I paid. However, the icing on the cake with this firm was, when I received my invoice they charged me $28.65 just to discuss, amongst themselves, how to refund my money. Obviously, I cannot recommend the law offices of Justin McMurray.

Eviction litigation

Mr. McMurray efficiently and proficiently managed the legal proceedings pertaining to my eviction, despite the challenging circumstances posed by the tenants involved. I highly suggest.

They have systems in place to keep you away

I was a chapter 13 clients of McMurray law firm.. chapter 13 can be rather complicated. That's why they got one star. If it were not for that fact it would be zero. Now to the title explanation. They're law firm communication system is designed to keep you away. Meaning they do not want to hear from ...you in any circumstance. You're appointed contact person such as r Rodriguez will not return emails to your questions that are important to you. He just won't respond if he feels that your question is not important in his mind. As with the attorney McMurray. You'll just never see him or even hear from him. There's no way to get a hold of him. He is insulated between three to four layers. Don't even bother. They subcontract out work for your bankruptcy hearing. Meaning they contact a local attorney who may or may not be a bankruptcy attorney to attend with you to your bankruptcy hearing. The one I had actually I felt almost fell asleep when being interviewed at the trustee with myself. He looked like he was bored out of his mind. Be careful with your payments to this firm. I made mine in person at the Ocala Florida office and there was some confusion later in which I needed to prove my payment with an electronic copy of my receipt. I feel that I could have done better picking a bankruptcy attorney if I close my eyes and my finger pointed to a name on a screen. If you care to have a frustrating experience with your bankruptcy to make it even more frustrating then these are the people for you. I am going to post this anonymously because after all they are attorneys.

That ok u can keep the money, for me is a learning experience be careful the attorney like you firm.
