I contacted Consumer Fraud Legal Services and received a timely reply regarding a credit card/bank that had tied up my funds and not processed anything and were not going to be accountable for causing undo pain, anguish and almost causing me to lose my apartment. Many of us belonged to a Facebook group (Walmart Money Card Exodus) because of the 'crashing' of the Green Dot system. Walmart wasn't taking our phone calls. Green Dot was publicly denying anything was wrong. Thousands of people were left with money disappearing, no access to money, debits that we di...dn't do, and direct deposits getting eaten by the overdraft charges caused by Green Dot. This went on for more than a month.
