Many of us belonged to a Facebook group (Walmart Money Card Exodus) because of the 'crashing' of the Green Dot system. Walmart wasn't taking our phone calls. Green Dot was publicly denying anything was wrong. Thousands of people were left with money disappearing, no access to money, debits that we di...dn't do, and direct deposits getting eaten by the overdraft charges caused by Green Dot. This went on for more than a month. Some people were evicted, some had no food, a few children ended up in Emergency Rooms because of the lack of oxygen treatment machines and medicines, and several were left without utilities because they couldn't pay the bill due to lack of access to their money.
