wrong advise
Mr. Vega told me my case was hopeless and said I only had hope if I became victim of a crime in the country. Going to him was a traumatic experience. I have my green card today and I know his prediction was wrong about my case

Replied last October 11, 2018Dear Ms. Lorena, Firstly, I am happy to read that you are now a resident of the U.S. I offer you my sincerest congratulations to you and your family. Secondly, it is incumbent upon me to remind you that you visited my law office on multiple occasions (04/02/2012, 06/02/2015 and 11/20/2015) to obtain a second legal opinion, since you were at the time already under legal representation. I provided you with various immigration relief options that were available to you at that time and even provided you with quotes for legal representation of such avenues of immigration relief. You subsequently did engage my law office for the singular purpose of obtaining your complete immigration file from USCIS, which we did, and we provided you with the original disc containing your entire immigration file. Other than the FOIA request on your behalf, our records indicate that you did not hire us for any of the viable options that we presented to you. As such, your review seems to be referring to an entirely different scenario which is neither aligned nor indicative of the factual events surrounding your visits to my law office. To protect your privacy, I will not disclose more sensitive details of your case within this public forum. I have my personal file notes available to confirm your prior visits as well as my legal analysis and recommendations. Should you be interested in obtaining a copy of my personal file notes, I will gladly make them available to you. My sincere opinion is that perhaps you obtained the idea of having a “hopeless” case from another attorney with whom you may have consulted after you visited my law office over three (3) years ago, since I indeed provided you with various avenues of immigration relief and provided you with quotes for legal representation. Your claim that you were traumatized by the alleged lack of viable immigration options after your repeated visits to my law office is not in sync with my notes. However, you seem to have benefited from my legal assessment, analysis, advice and strategy from the multiple visits even though you ultimately opted to continue with the legal representation of your original attorney. Finally, I do not believe that your criticism of my law office and law practice is valid but instead is a sentiment that is meant to be hurtful and injurious.

Not responsible
He took $150 for a consultation. He was not able to answer the only question I had. Moreover the attorney promised me to review some of my documents but he never responded to my email.

Replied last July 18, 2017Mr. K., We consulted our records and found that you visited my law office on JUNE 15, 2017 in the afternoon. I personally analyzed your case matter and assessed your situation where I outlined all of the requirements for the type of immigration relief that you were seeking. I provided you at the time of the interview with a very extensive, written legal analysis as to how you should proceed with the limited information that you presented to me at the time of the consultation. As far as not providing you with an answer to your “only question”, I am sorry you feel that way, especially due to the fact that I spent a significant amount of time (close to an hour) addressing all of your concerns and other questions. Unfortunately, the one question that remained outstanding cannot be definitively answered in that the final outcome of your case is unknown until a complete analysis is performed of your entire case and all the supporting evidence that you intend to present. You are welcome to revisit my law office and you can present the evidence that was missing at the time of the initial consultation. We can then analyze whether you can fulfill all of the requirements of the relief you are seeking.

“This was a paid consultation with few options. Afterward, a document was signed declining my legal services. After they left, I was able to find a solution and contacted them with the option. They agreed to retain/pay but then did not contact me for 17 months. They then demanded I provide my work product for free and filed a complaint. The state bar deemed that a relationship existed and I had to provide my work product for free. My office never received compensation from them.”
