I had one consultation with Lisa Brewer during a very difficult divorce. My experience with Lisa was horrible, she was unprofessional, condescending, kept interrupting me and was very judgmental. I left her office in tears because she was so rude and had zero compassion. I would not recommend Lisa... Brewer and will never use her services.

I contacted Lisa to help me with a divorce case. She was hard to communicate and impatient, didn't let me finish my sentences and was almost scolding me telling me I had to obey her commands. When I tried to explain my financial situation she would just talk over me to the point that I said repeatedl...y were not communicating she kept talking and talking telling me the way it was when she had no clue of what my story was. I finally just had to hang up and for all I know she's still arguing at the phone. She's very confrontational, so sure of herself she won't let you talk and one of the rudest attorneys that I have come across in this town, would not recommend.

After having another attorney waste much time and rack up my bill, I was referred to Lisa. She reviewed my case file and was completely taken aback by the unprofessional way things had been done and agreed to take my case over and finish it as timely as possible. I was impressed with her knowledge of... family law and her direct professionalism. She studied my case and gave me a very direct definition of what the law would consider relevant. Her honesty about what I could expect and what we could and could not ask for was refreshing. I was in an abusive relationship for over 10 years and I was scared to mediate. I was scared to be in the same room with him. She handled the meetings with my ex and his attorney and was able to use the facts to mediate a parenting plan and divorce without going to court. I wanted many things in the beginning, and she helped to sort out what was going to be important in the long run for my children. With Lisa's direction and input, I was able to get him to go to anger management classes, get counseling for my children and myself, retain the business I alone had purchased and operated for 7 years of our marriage, as well as requiring him to move out the house we owned - in order for repairs to be done so that the house could be sold. He had spent over 10 months prior sabotaging the sale of the house- by his own admittance. During our meetings, she showed great patience and professionalism. My ex would not attend agreed upon meetings, be defiant, yell obscenities and avoid answering questions. At one point his rage broke loose during one of these meetings. Due to the fact that his attorney was ineffective at handling his client, Lisa removed me from the situation. My divorce was a 2 year battle, the first 20 months were spent with a previous attorney, creating a big paper trail, the last 4 months were with Lisa in an efficient manner. During the first 20 months separation I received one check for support. I was taking care of the kids full time and his visitation was very limited due to the manner in which we left him. Lisa immediately required support to begin as well as creating a visitation plan I could approve of with the history of violent behavior. I would recommend Lisa to anyone involved in a family law case. I always felt like she cared for me as a client, but took a very professional approach to every subject.
