When we contacted Matthew we immediately knew he was the right lawyer for our matter, , so we hired him ,he was very professional and knowledgeable of the law and did an excellent job getting our legal issue resolved, and we definitely hire him again in the future. This tool was just what I needed. After 3 days of trying to contact a couple of lawyers directly to get a little assistance/advisement on a time-sensitive matter, I was ready to give up when my husband told me about Avvo as he used to work in the same building where they operate in downtown Seattle.... Personally, I had never heard of them - now I am an advocate! I do have some suggestions for improvement of the service, if anyone would like it. First - while attempting to submit the onboarding form, I received errors - a lot of errors. If I weren't on a tight timeline, there is a good chance I would have abandoned this attempt, but I really needed to get my item resolved this weekend, so I was persistent. Second - the online chat box is annoying. Its location in my browser - regardless of browser - was distracting. Perhaps it is because of the time of day that I was logged in and that is why it kept popping back up as chat support shifts went from being available to unavailable while I was attempting to fill out the forms, regardless - it was not a good customer/user experience. Third - I don't know why my upload of the optional file failed on numerous times, but not being able to upload a file that was barely 1MB is not a good experience in this century. Upon receipt of a phone call from a responding lawyer, we were able to work around this problem and get him the information he needed so we could have a conversation, but if I had been able to get him the information prior to responding, it would have been a better experience for us both. Heck, he could have reviewed it first and decided he didn't want to waste his time, thank goodness he didn't, but it is a possibility, but if he had been able to review my summation prior to the phone call, it would have prepared him before he called and we could have jumped into the consultation quicker. If anyone is interested in the actual error messages I received while trying to complete this task, I did grab screenshots. Thanks for your amazing service and if there is anything I can do to help you make it better and expand, please let me know.

I had some issues with an employer who owed me back pay and had shorted paychecks. I called around and finally came across Matthew's "Wage & Law" page online. I spoke with Matthew and he was very helpful. We then met and decided to work together on my case. He was very straight-forward and honest for... the duration of my case. He was also careful to ensure that I was being honest about my accusations against my previous employer. Long story short, we won. I paid nothing out of pocket to Matthew; all of Matthew's fees were included in the settlement. I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Mr Ennis for any wage rights case.

I needed advice on a highly personal topic. Upon reaching out to a couple of lawyers directly and finding them unable to meet in my timeframe, I started 'googling'. One of the first sites to return in this awkward query string was this service called "Avvo", so thought I would give it a shot and su...bmitted my information. Much to my delight, within minutes of submitting my information form on the site, Matthew called me. As I had prepared some information to guide this discussion and wasn't able to attach it to the submittal form, he was kind enough to provide me an email address where I could forward my documentation. We discussed the basics of my needs, he confirmed receipt of my information and we made arrangements for him to take a little time to review that information and ring me back so we could have a more fruitful conversation. To his credit, Matthew did an excellent job of digesting the information and called me back in a very timely fashion so we could discuss my issues. He was kind enough to walk me through not only the direct items I had listed, but to provide me the legal points to consider before taking my next steps. Matthew did a great job of pointing out the legal ramifications or lack of ramifications of these next steps and helped me to feel better about this entire situation. I felt comfortable discussing difficult topics with Matthew and truly appreciated the fact he did not fall into merely spouting legalese and quoting regulations to me. In the end, I felt good about the discussion and my next steps. To be honest, without Matthew's counsel, there is a good probability my next steps would have been fiscally irresponsible with the potential of becoming career limiting. I appreciate his honest responses to my direct questions and his time for helping me understand.
