When I was very desperate and scared like so many parents that go through this struggle, a family member had told me about free legal aid/free consultation at a legal aid clinic. This is were I met Catherine! She was the advising volunteer that night and so wonderful in explaining what I needed to ...do first, what paperwork needed to be filled out and filed, etc. It was so overwhelming. I asked her if she could be the one to represent me in my case that night. I asked her, not because she was the lawyer available in the clinic but felt very comfortable talking to her and definitely felt like she actually cared about the situation and cared for me, as a person.
