DCYF Dependency Case/Pierce County Family Recovery Court

Mrs. Catherine Guza was my lawyer from October of 2018 until February of 2020 while I was participating in Family Recovery Court and navigating my way through a DCYF dependency case involving my then 1.5 year old son. There was not a single moment while she was representing me that I felt out of the ...loop, confused or concerned. Cathy made sure that I understood my rights and that my voice was heard. My son is home with me now and she is a large part of what went into bringing him home. I will forever be grateful to her. Thank you Cathy! You are hands down, the best there is!

Excellent Lawyer and wonderful person!!

When I was very desperate and scared like so many parents that go through this struggle, a family member had told me about free legal aid/free consultation at a legal aid clinic. This is were I met Catherine! She was the advising volunteer that night and so wonderful in explaining what I needed to ...do first, what paperwork needed to be filled out and filed, etc. It was so overwhelming. I asked her if she could be the one to represent me in my case that night. I asked her, not because she was the lawyer available in the clinic but felt very comfortable talking to her and definitely felt like she actually cared about the situation and cared for me, as a person. It felt like I was talking to a friend! From the time she was hired, she kept me informed on absolutely everything on a daily basis and became my rock I leaned on. This was a very stressful time for my family and I! She completed my case with success and I will be forever grateful to Catherine!! She is very thorough and I am very impressed with her work! I recommend her to anyone that needs a great lawyer. She is not only a great lawyer but a very caring human being!!!
