Thank you Erik

Hiring Erik as my divorce attorney was the best decision I made for my divorce. As a cardiologist, my mindset was that I must protect what is mine and fight to win. I initially hired the most expensive high end attorney and law firm in Tacoma, and it was a disaster. I successfully wasted money..., probably close to $50,000 to $100,000 and got no where. My ex-wife hired a sleaze ball attorney that would do anything to drain more lawyers fees out of me to pay his fee. While my first attorney didn’t do anything unethical, but he was unable to manage my case in a manner that would be in my best interest long term. He was also impossible to reach, and I felt like my case was not a priority. When I asked to mediate, he came up with reasons not to “give up.” Finally, and most importantly, he could not provide an accurate forecast of how my divorce was going to go. My divorce was an expensive mess and the best thing that happened to me is my attorney fired me. Let’s just say I let him know how unhappy I was with the amount I was spending. So I hired Erik, solo attorney, no big law firm. I just wanted out of my divorce. Erik was not only significantly less expensive than my previous attorney, but he was more experienced and consciences about the particulars of my case. He spent a significant amount of time (which he did NOT bill) to explain why my divorce put me at risk longterm and that I needed to settle and mediate. Erik was able to provide a forecast of My divorce and it was spot on. He cleaned up my case. He got me out of contempt (another screw up from my first attorney), provided expert personal guidance, and negotiated a settlement in my favor (well relative favor) with my ex-wife’s sleaze ball attorney to get me divorced quickly. Erik isn’t flashy and doesn’t have a website with a bunch of Pizazz. He isn’t trying to please his buddies or court judges during trial. He is to the point, honest, get the job done the way it should be in the clients best interest. No BS. ”This is how it is,” “this is what we want to avoid for your case,” let’s get you divorced and on with your life.” I never want to get divorced again and I don’t wish it upon anyone, but if you are a soon to be ex-husband, go with Erik.

Strongly Recommend

I absolutely must, have to recommend Attorney Erik to you or to any one who is dealing with the divorce. I know and understand how painful, stressful, and ugly the divorce process can be, especially when assets and children involved. I was there. Erik has a great work ethic. He cares a great deal... about his clients. He has a very calm and caring demeanor and he gets directly to the point. He definitely is the person who not only will walk you through every step, but will also help to take away your stress and lead you to a better and brighter quality life after your dissolution.

Best Divorce Attorney in Tacoma!

Before I hired, Erik Bjornson, I had talked with several divorce attorneys, finding it difficult to decide, a friend recommended Erik. I met with Erik for an initial consultation, I knew immediately I had an attorney, whom I could trust and someone would take the reins. Erik quickly assessed my situ...ation and gave me a realistic point of view; He informed me how long I could reasonably expect the divorce process would run. He was clear, on the point, of which I would probably need to retain an attorney beyond the final decree to ensure proper division of the Federal retirement and Investments. Erik immediately took action as my husband of nearly thirty years, who had already taken the first steps in the divorce process. Erik guided me throughout, always direct and objective. He took the time to explain to me the law in a clear and concise fashion. When I needed to go to court for emergency spousal support, Erik was well prepared. Thanks to Erik, the Judge’s decision helped me begin rebuilding my life. My divorce went on for several months; my husband attempting to have the decision of the Judge overturned but Erik always stayed one step ahead, protecting me and my future. When I called Erik with a question he promptly returned calls with an answer. Erik never moved forward without first consulting me at every stage of the process. Erik represented me at arbitration resulting in a favorable outcome for me. He continued to be proactive after the final decree in securing the assets awarded in to me in the divorce. I will always have immense gratitude for his steadfast support and guidance. Eric is an exceptional attorney and I would not hesitate to recommend Erik Bjornson to anyone.
