A year and a half ago I was here on Avvo, drowning in referrals looking for someone to represent me in a divorce that was quickly going sideways. Did I want a collaborative divorce, to believe the best would work out, that my ex-wife and I could be reasonable together? Did I want to hire a bulldog wh...o was going to fight her threats tooth and nail? It was a scary time as I was having a hard time figuring out what level of fear and defensive posture to bring to the situation. I phone interviewed with a half dozen attorneys, some were recommendations from other attorneys in other specialties. Larry emerged as the middle way; strong but not wasting time with aggression. I read him as someone with strength but wasn't in this to ramp up the temperature and create work. In retrospect that intuition was correct. I'll abstain from giving specifics but the whole situation was exceedingly chaotic. Larry stayed firm, offering insight, impressions, compassions, hope. He never took an overly escalatory route while consistently offering a reasonable off ramp from the madness. He was responsive in crisis moments, affirmed my intuitions when I had to make decisions with short notice, he tempered my more paranoid responses, helped me to understand what was important to focus on. He was compassionate in my grief and celebratory when relief and resolution was achieved. Mediation was an exhausting but eventually rewarding process due to his guidance and his paralegal's aid. He seems to have a respect from other opposing lawyers within the community as well. I've learned from this process how valuable (literally) a patient, paced, experienced, and insightful divorce attorney is. Simply, I can't recommend Larry and his team enough. I trust him to guide you through whatever waters you might need navigating.

I reached out to Larry with an intent to hire him for a divorce case. Though he didn't accept the case - he provided extremely valuable insights I used to continue my search. My spreadsheet of candidates for my legal counsel was both shortened - eliminating some candidates - and lengthened - by addin...g some candidates Larry recommended. I literally added a "Larry" column where I put his opinions, which helped me decide who to go with. I'll be reaching out to Larry to assist in estate planning - I'll need those services soon.
