Domestic Violence Survivor seeking help & found it!

Sean was so kind and amazing when we had our consultation! I’ve spoken with so many lawyers before I found Sean and the other lawyers would only respond with, “just fill out a protection order at the courthouse, you don’t need us.” But I had questions and unique aspects to be considered and I never r...eally felt heard by any of them, and they didn’t make me feel reassured that I’d do it correctly and actually stay safe from my ex. Sean listened and was taking notes and asking for clarifying details-I could tell he cared and took me seriously! He gave me insights, advice, and clearly explained the options available to me due to my situations unique facts. He’s a great advocate and doesn’t prey on people financially! He’s helping me find ways to make this difficult time more affordable through resources available to DV Survivors (and Veterans!), while helping me protect myself. I hope other survivors who need an advocate will find Sean!

Pending 15-6

I called Sean for a free consultation after being told I was under a 15-6 investigation. He gave me great advice for free and laid out all the steps we needed to take. I hired Sean to represent me, he stayed one step ahead of my chain of command and their legal team. His ability to shoot holes in a 1...5-6 and write a response to the action taken by my chain of command resulted in no action taken. Sean gave me piece of mind during the worst period of time in my career. Do not regret not reaching out to sean, if you are on the edge just call him, it is absolutely worth it.

I WISH I COULD GIVE HIM 10 STARS

If you are reading this, congratulations. Your search for attorneys is over. Stop and CALL SEAN RIGHT NOW. This is a very competent, intelligent, knowledgeable, compassionate, and caring attorney. If he takes your case, he will deliver superior advocacy and will not back down until you get the best o...utcome humanly possible within the circumstances of your situation. And I say call him now because his prowess has not gone unnoticed. There will inevitably come a time (even if it is temporary) when he doesn’t have the bandwidth for new clients simply because there are only 24 hours in a day. I don’t want that to happen to you and for you to miss out on this attorney. Whatever your specific legal circumstances, (if you’re reading this), you need someone with his skillsets and experience to defend you. Okay that being said, here is a bit more about my situation. I have been dealing with a challenging and multifaceted legal matter for nearly the past 3 years. I was facing a 15-6, criminal investigation, and a complicated medical issue that lay at the root of all my legal troubles. Over that time, I interviewed at least 15 attorneys. I even hired 3 before I landed on Sean. All of my prior counsels had their strong points and were superior attorneys, skilled at their craft. But my gut just told me that they weren’t the right people for my case. While every case is unique, almost every legal issue can fall into a certain category/ box. Mine truly couldn’t, because it differed from 99% of legal matters. I needed a lawyer who didn’t just follow a cookie-cutter approach. I needed someone who was a nuanced, critical thinker with strong instincts and an adaptable and proactive approach. Someone who was forward-thinking. It wasn’t until Sean took my case that I finally started sleeping at night. And I haven’t looked back. He gave me an exceptional outcome that I didn’t dream possible because no other attorney I spoke to believed I had a shot. But Sean listened and we stayed the course together until WE WON. He is honest, empathetic, a great listener, and (most importantly), he understands the system. He knows how it works. He knows how to interact with your Command and with the military’s prosecutors. He is a bulldog when it comes to defending you. I was amazed how my Command didn’t even bother responding to my prior attorneys, but then suddenly started becoming responsive as soon as Sean got involved. They knew that they were dealing with a formidable adversary. Sean will make you feel protected as he puts your opponents on the run in a way that only he knows how to do. But he also has the charisma and interpersonal skills to negotiate when the time is right. You see, the military’s legal system may feel like a giant, unhuman behemoth to you, but it is personality driven. A skilled attorney knows how to navigate those personalities. Sean will give them a tactical victory to soothe their egos if it means that the strategic victory will be yours in the long run. He is also PROACTIVE rather than reactive. Many attorneys will tell you just to “lie low” and wait for bad things to happen to you so they can respond/ rebut and bill you for their time. Meanwhile, you are stressing out and feeling powerless. In contrast, Sean will actually GET AHEAD of things and get your case resolved before it snowballs into a disaster. That is what he did for me. Your time is valuable and you have decisions to make. I leave you by wishing you the best of luck in your search for attorneys and repeat my advice to- CALL SEAN RIGHT NOW. Even if you don’t hire him, he will answer your questions and provide you with invaluable advice going forward (for free). If you do hire him, it will be one of the best decisions you ever made.

Military Medical Credentialing - knowledgeable, thorough, responsive

Sean Mangan is an excellent lawyer. He helped me with a military medical credentialing issue (I’m a physician). Sean is extremely knowledgeable about military medical credentialing regulations and laws for all of the branches and for DHA. He was able to help me navigate a situation with my command an...d credentialing authority. Sean personally called my command and credentialing authority on multiple occasions to discuss the regulations with them in order to prevent the issue from escalating. His efforts thwarted unwarranted administrative action and obviated the need for more extensive legal engagement. Sean also has valuable soft skills. Of note, everyone that spoke with Sean subsequently relayed positive feedback about his knowledge and personable disposition; the credentialing authority later told me that he was "a great guy and a great lawyer". I would absolutely hire Sean again.

Great in depth free consultation

Great explanation and a second opinion. Definable on my radar if the separation in lieu of discharge doesn't go through and a general CM happens. Explained literally everything but determined I would likely not need further legal counsel and would likely be fine with just appointed defender. W...ill be keeping his phone number just in case. Explained how and what would be affect by my discharge. That he does discharge upgrades. Even explained previous job expiriance - as it would apply to me in the near future.
