Sean Francis Mangan

Sean is an extremely knowledgeable and experienced attorney. He showed great care and attention not only to my case, but also to me. When offered an Article 15, which stemmed from a false accusation of misconduct, I decided to find a more experienced UCMJ attorney for help since my military attorney ...did not seem up to the task. I decided to go with Sean, and I have no doubt that I could not have had a better outcome. With his advice, I turned down the Article 15 and demanded trial by court-martial. The command did everything in their power to investigate me and examined my entire career up to that point. The command maintained that they would bring charges against me, but Sean showed them how weak their case was. In the end, the general officer over my case decided to administer an LOR. With Sean’s help we submitted a formal response to the LOR, and it was ultimately reduced to an LOA. And that was not all. I was selected for promotion during the investigative period, so after the conclusion of the investigation and the subsequent administrative action, I was temporarily removed from the promotion list while it underwent review in a Promotion Proprietary Action. Sean helped me put together a package for my defense to submit with the PPA. After a lengthy review by many levels of leadership up to the SecAF, the SecAF ultimately made the decision to uphold my promotion! I do not think this would have been possible without Sean’s help. Sean helped me through what seemed like insurmountable odds, and I know that his knowledge and experience are what got me a favorable outcome in the end.

We hired Sean to help us with an employee who had been denied base access over 7 years ago. The company had tried for those 7 years to rectify this issue with no success. This was for something that happened & was restituted for over 30 years ago. I'll start by saying Sean is amazing. What started off as an easily disputed false allegation turned into an almost career ending, stressful and embarrassing ordeal. I'm so very thankful for Sean and his expertise in military law. I almost certain that his years of military service was the difference... in restoring my military career, reputation and future for after military service as the false allegations could have impacted my retirement.
