She is is a perfect blend of professional and personable when she represented me in 2017-2018. She was the public defender to have, she really fights for her clients. I knew she was genuinely invested in making sure we got the best result. She has away of commanding attention in the courtroom which... gave me a lot of confidence in her. The charges she represented me on were firearm and distribution, I also had a criminal history before hand. I have had my run ins with public defenders. I never met one I trusted until I met Sam, she's honest, engaging, reliable, the type to under promise and over perform. She did so much for me that no other attorney ever had. Sam worked on 2 cases for me in regards to a self defense case. The first case was in defense of Red Flag Laws being used against me to permanently take away my 2nd Amendment rights. The prosecutors were not prepared to have to fight, and Sam drafted a legal brief citing 7-8 Constitutional violations.... The prosecutor agreed to drop that case if I would agree to sign an agreement for the duration of the trial for the primary charges. The second case was a murder vs. self defense case, and even when she was 7 months pregnant, she worked long late hours to prepare legal briefs and Supreme Court citations to fight the prosecutors every step of the way, and they tried every trick to put me away. I owe this woman my life. She stood up to the Goliath resources of the State, leveled against me. In the end, leading up to the verdict; she held my hand, which gave me some comfort as I was about to learn my fate... NOT GUILTY. Sam is a warrior and a compassionate lawyer. I felt like a human with her, not a client or customer. She is passionate about winning and standing up for the average person against the awesome power of the State.
