$ 300-300 per hour
I am a second generation family law lawyer, however I have chosen to expand my practice into the area of estate planning, probate and guardianship. We was at the same location since 1984 until June 1st 2013 when I accepted an offer to join a 100 year old law firm half a block away. I now am a partner in Newton Kight LLP founded in 1912.
I have extensive litigation experience, however find that one must have an eye to resolving disputes in a manner that does less harm than perhaps an extended trial might produce.

Very Good Attorney
My sisters and I hired Mark to fight our malignant narcissist brother (also an attorney) who was appointed successor Trustee of our family trust. Our brother practiced every dirty, rotten trick in the playbook of cheats. Mark was always honest and had integrity, unlike our brother and his attorney...

Man of integrity!
We hired Mark for a family dispute caused by our Trustee/Beneficiary brother. I wish we could have stayed with Mr. Patterson the whole time. Due to COVID and family obligation our complex situation became way too time consuming for Mark. I would highly recommend Mr. Patterson. He is a true gentl...

Decent with good ideas
Mark handled the probate after my father's unexpected death. I was referred to him by the Snohomish County Legal referral service. He was very easy to work with though at times there seemed to be a delay in communication. Among all of the great advice he gave me was a plan to save my father's h...

Failed
Mark (Pete) Patterson caused a lot of harm to my child! Since hiring Mark he hid documents, failed to do the parenting plan correctly, cost me thousands of wasted dollars. This attorney did not work for me. Even my ex stated to me that she thought Mark was on her side. He is still harming my case...
"I endorse this lawyer. Mark Patterson is a strong advocate for a client to have in their corner. He is highly intelligent, and a skilled and experienced attorney. Moreover, his background in estate planning, trusts, and family law, and underlying Bachelors of Arts in Business enables him to provide a broader scope of counsel and representation than is typically found in any one attorney. In addition, people faced with estate litigation are often dealing with traumatic and life changing events and I have found Mark to be both kind and compassionate when working with his clients."
"I strongly endorse this lawyer. I have been referring people to attorney Mark Patterson for years, knowing they will receive excellent representation. He is always one of the attorneys mentioned whenever us local lawyers are asked for a referral to a good Snohomish County family law attorney. He is one of the best around."
"Mark and I were partners for 18 years. HIs intellectual curiosity regarding the law and his willing to keep abreast on current changes in the law has always been an inspiration. He zealously represents his clients while maintaining the highest ethical standards. He is well respected in the legal community in family law and estate planning matters. Mark is interested in solving problems, not creating them. I refer family members and friends to him on a regular basis. Any client would be well served by his representation."
"I endorse this lawyer. Mark is a brilliant lawyer who has been a mentor, colleague, and friend of mine for many years. He helped me through my own divorce, and his counsel was invaluable. I frequently refer clients to Mark because I know little about his areas of Legal Expertise (which are many), knowing he will represent them as ably as any lawyer would."
