Biography
I have practiced law in Seattle for nearly 40 years. I received an AV ( the highest possible rating ) from Martindale-Hubbell, which has been the recognized standard for evaluating lawyers for generations.
AVVO's rating system is highly suspect in my opinion. I have seen lawyers a few years out of law school with higher ratings than experienced attorneys who are considered excellent by the local criminal bar. I think that the ratings on AVVO can easily be manipulated or AVVO's calculations are based upon faulty assumptions. Something is wrong if a lawyer doing misdemeanors and a couple years out of law school has a 10, yet a highly regarded and experienced attorney who has regularly handled serious federal court cases and death penalty work, is an 8.3.
I don't use AVVO to pick my doctor. I generally ask other people, especially other medical professions, who they recommend. I suggest that people should do the same when selecting a lawyer.

A GUY'S LAWYER! Superior results.
I have used Michael many times over the years and he is definitely a lawyer for the guys! If you have a DV or divorce problem - this is the attorney for you - he will really make your wife pay for making your life miserable. Great attorney with Superior results
