She was HORRIBLE! Did NOTHING for me. Did not take calls. Did not return calls. She went silent. Ms. Beckmann did not have the integrity to say "Your case is way over my head, I'm out." Instead, she told ME to "Get it together!" This meant my "financials", as she called them. I saw her a total of 3 times. The first time, she was in a skirt and blouse-looked like a "lawyer" I guess. The next time she was dressed like a cow girl. The 3rd and final time I saw her, she had turned rocker. When we met in the conference room, I honestly didn't recognize her-she had gone rocker and looked like Pat Benatar.
Ms. Beckman told me that my husband "Doesn't earn that much money! You are in for $6 to 700 mo. child support for all kids." She threw a calendar at me and told me to fill in out for the past YEAR as to who did what in parenting duties. That was the last time I saw her. She acted surprised when I fired her the next week. She gave no information re: the opposing counsel, court..nothing. She went silent.
Best I can figure is she was hoping enough time would pass and a no-contest divorce could take place.
It cost me $16,000 to watch someone dress up in what appeared to be costumes. The course this case took was far from over. NOT. Do NOT spend your money on Natalie Beckmann. You can do better! Try to find your lawyer by word of mouth from a friend..family member..or co-worker who had a good (as can be) experience with their divorce lawyer. Also, get copies of EVERYTHING. There was one "lost" email to me. At three months into this, she wrote a few things down on a piece of paper, like -Financials, Parenting Plan.. The "Get it Together!" comment was the clincher. SHE was the divorce lawyer, what
was I NOT doing? I didn't have a case schedule or the name of a Judge. She never told me about the required "What about the Children" seminar. Unbelievable. I was living on credit, and she told me to "just keep on doing what you're doing." She never once attempted to get me any financial relief. I kept telling friends and family that something was wrong, but most people answered with the likes of "You hired a professional. They went to law school" etc. Trust your gut, when it says something is wrong-something is wrong.
When someone comes across as being too good for your case, it may be a cover up for their lack of competence. Good-luck and Godspeed

Relationship: Worked together on matter
I strongly endorse Natalie. She did a superb job representing a mutual Client in family court. She was very assertive when necessary, due to criminal accusations being made against the Client She was able to obtain joint custody against very difficult odds. She maintained high professional standards, and tried to remain reasonable, even though she was often faced with quite unreasonable circumstances. She is a very good listener with her clients, and is compassionate with them. The results she obtains for her Clients are amazing.
