Moshe Yiftah Admon

Moshe “Jeff” Admon is a Seattle trial lawyer licensed in Washington, Arizona, and admitted to Texas (inactive). He represents clients in complex business litigation, cryptocurrency and securities disputes, defamation and First Amendment matters, intellectual property litigation, and select personal injury and property damage cases.

Jeff is known for handling high-stakes disputes with strategic discipline, strong courtroom advocacy, and practical judgment. He represents business owners, investors, professionals, and individuals in matters where the facts are complex, the legal issues are significant, and the stakes are substantial. Much of his practice comes from referrals by other attorneys, current clients, and former clients.

His practice focuses on sophisticated litigation. Jeff has substantial experience in partnership and shareholder disputes, investor and securities claims, business torts, internet defamation, intellectual property conflicts, and emerging cryptocurrency matters. He is one of relatively few attorneys in Washington with meaningful experience in cryptocurrency litigation. He filed an amicus brief in SEC v. Wahi, a closely watched digital asset case of national significance, and successfully represented the founder and manager of a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) in a first-impression cryptocurrency dispute involving the theft of more than $1.3 million in digital assets. He recovered nearly all of the stolen funds for his client, a rare result in that area of law.

Jeff also has significant experience in defamation and First Amendment litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in reputational and free speech disputes. In intellectual property matters, his prior career as a mechanical engineer gives him an advantage in technically sophisticated cases involving trademarks, business-owned IP assets, and related commercial issues.

Representative Matters

• 1501 1st Ave. N v. Branfman, Cai, et al.: Complex Corporate Litigation. Represented 23 minority shareholders from China and Japan in an 8-day trial against American Life, Inc., one of the nation’s largest EB-5 developers. In conjunction with co-counsel, helped secure a verdict of more than $21 million.
  
  
• Leek v. Wang, McDuffie, et al.: Complex Corporate Litigation. Represented a renowned cybersecurity expert and owner of a multinational cybersecurity company in a business dispute involving multiple contract, partnership, wage, and misrepresentation claims. After a 4-day trial, all claims against Jeff’s client were dismissed.
  
  
• In re Estate of Pinto: Probate Litigation. Represented an estate beneficiary in a 3-day trial, securing a $600,000 verdict and recovery of an invaluable family heirloom.
  
  
• Gadley v. Ruddock: Complex Family Litigation. Represented a parent in an interstate child custody dispute, secured the child’s return to Washington after UCCJEA proceedings, and later obtained full custody after trial.
  
  
• Hu v. Qiao: Complex International Family Litigation. Successfully challenged venue and jurisdiction in a Washington divorce action involving parties living between China and the United States, resulting in dismissal of the Washington petition.
  
  
• Handa v. Nangia: Complex International Divorce. Secured a judgment awarding more than $2 million in community property in a dispute involving marital interests in a technology company.
  
  
• Xian Noodles L.L.C. v. Li and Huang et al.: Internet Defamation. Obtained removal of defamatory online statements and a favorable financial settlement for a restaurant owner.
  
  
• Scott et al. v. Kensington Real Estate L.L.C.: Business Litigation. Represented multiple realtors in a commission dispute against their brokerage and obtained a successful pretrial settlement.
  
  
• State of Washington v. Wicken: Criminal Defense. Defended a client charged with trespass and violating a protective order. Using a defense of "mistaken identity," the client was acquitted on all charges.
  
  
• State of Washington v. Walsh: DUI Defense. Challenged the legal basis for a DUI charge involving a moped, resulting in dismissal.
  
  
• Mountain Mama Distillery Inc. v. K.C.B. Enterprises, L.L.C.: Trademark Litigation. Successfully enforced trademark rights and compelled the opposing party to cease use of the infringing brand name.
  
  
• OpenDAO v. Ma: Cryptocurrency Litigation. Represented the founder and manager of a DAO in a first-impression dispute involving theft of more than $1.3 million in cryptocurrency. Recovered nearly all stolen funds for the client.

Before becoming a lawyer, Jeff worked as a mechanical engineer and business owner. He earned his LL.B. (Hon.) from the University of London, followed by a J.D. and LL.M. from the University of Arizona.
