Excellent, a strong combination of sharp lawyering and interpersonal skills

I had an excellent experience with Robin and her firm. I would highly recommend her and them. I contacted Robin when I encountered difficulties with my longtime employer regarding my established disability accommodations. After a change in leadership, my employer failed to implement the accommodati...on as required, and I was being stonewalled in my own efforts to remedy the situation. When I contacted Robin, my goal was to restore proper implementation of my accommodations without a lawsuit and, ideally, without souring my good relations with colleagues. Both were achieved. Although it was not a high dollar matter, this felt like a David v. Goliath situation, potentially impacting my career and livelihood. Robin was adept at handling my situation and took the time to counsel me about my rights and options; assist with highly-nuanced correspondence; and competently and compassionately listen, educated, and advise me. Her commitment to my situation was reassuring and helped lower my anxiety and improve my sleep. The process was drawn out by my employer (a large state agency), but ultimately we reached a good result, with recodification of my accommodations and an improved procedural plan going forward, to help prevent a similar issue ever arising again. With her unique combination of legal talent and emotional intelligence, I consider Robin to be well-suited for cases such as mine. I have no reservations about recommending her and trust she would be honest and accurate about her ability and availability to help someone.

Best Decision Ever

I reached out to Robin originally for a consultation for a potential discrimination lawsuit recently and was not disappointed. After speaking for some time and hearing the compassion in Robin's voice, we decided to move forward with the case and I hired Robin. Robin is extremely emotionally supportiv...e, and constatnly assuring, making me feel safe and protected against the other party. Most importantly, I felt validated. Robin is very quick with her thinking and gives 100% effort. Every process was explained to me with clarity and she was very helpful if there were any questions or uncertanties. Robin was not only my lawyer, but my cheerleader and that made a huge impact. My life has changed for the better after my experience and I will never forget!

Robin helped me navigate and settle a career altering employment law case.

Robin and her law firm helped me navigate an employment law case where I was discriminated against and illegally terminated for issues out of my own control. Robin was extremely helpful, professional, and took her own personal time to explain every thing to me so I knew what was going on with the cas...e and what to expect. Every time I had questions she responded with alacrity. Her team helped me navigate a difficult legal issue that in the end helped change a large employers practices for the better. I can’t express my appreciation for what Shishido Taren Goldsworthy PLLC did for me. Robin helped me prepare for the case and depositions and was extremely thorough in her interviews with those she was deposing. I felt prepared and confident in what to expect and her thoroughness helped me be successful in this employment case. I couldn’t be happier with the result.

I wish everyone could have a lawyer like Robin Shishido representing them

When I first reached out to Shishido Taren Goldsworthy I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect, and was exhausted from the harassment and discrimination that I was experiencing at work. Even though Robin Shishido had been highly recommended to me, I was feeling pretty low and so I didn’t have much hope ...or understanding of what else could be done. However, it seemed easy enough to send a short email through the website, and so I did. Robin contacted me quickly and set up a time for a free consultation. From that first consultation, and throughout the entirety of the of the time that she represented me, Robin impressed me with the depths of her sincere empathy and her passion to stand up with/for people experiencing these injustices. I remain deeply grateful for her integrity, as well as her obvious respect and consideration for me as a client. While always maintaining a very high level of professionalism and empathy, Robin also always gave it to me straight, being very clear about expectations, as well as the strengths and potential weaknesses of my claims, and answering my questions with a directness and honesty that consistently placed me at ease knowing that neither her time nor my time was being wasted. During the period of time in which I was being billed by the hour, Robin gave me a regular accounting update in scrupulous detail (unasked), showing a real consideration for the costs that I was incurring, as well as a high level of accountability that, again, really put me at ease. I strongly believe that Robin always kept my interests front of mind, giving me really clear explanations of my options and their risk and potential impact. What I really needed more than anything was some justice, and I really appreciated that Robin, (and by extension Jordan Taren, and also Rick Goldsworthy who became involved towards the end) understood that on a very real level, they get the complexities of discrimination, it’s underlying issues and the trauma that it inflicts. However, something that I only very recently came to realize is how very much Robin actually went out of her way to be extra supportive of the traumatic experience I was going through. I suppose when we are undergoing intense difficulty, we can unfortunately really overlook the lengths that some people go to support us, and that combined with what I think is Robin's natural way of downplaying her own significant talent and efforts, as well as her constant and distinct professionalism really made it seem like she was just doing her job. However, in my line of work I know how hard it can be to establish and hold professional boundaries when the person you are helping is undergoing a difficult or even traumatic experience, while still showing the empathy you feel and also ensuring that the process is productive and Robin did that so gracefully that I didn't even realize it until now when I have finally made it to a place where I can move on from this experience, and have paused to look back. I felt only support and encouragement from her at all times. I just want to end by stating, unequivocally, that I would not have made it to this point without an advocate as uniquely capable and passionately driven to represent her clients as Robin Shishido, and I am genuinely honored to recommend her to anyone.
