B. Anderson

Unbelievable the damage Crowley has done for my case in Kittitas County Superior Court Court. We should have stopped him at day one! He pressured my family and I for quick credit card payment near $10k. Would not provide fee agreement and finally sent a text stating the funds would represent def...endant (me) “through end of trial”. He has been completely unavailable for professional one on one counsel, and shows up for hearings only to request extension’s based on every excuse our Local court system has ever heard. I was embarrassed to stand with him before the honorable judge in a few hearings, he has made me look just as irresponsible as he is. At this point of my pretrial process after resetting trial schedules over 18 months, he has pissed off the prosecution team to where I have suffered in terms of them demanding strong sentencing options. Now, this newest obstacle of John Crowley being disbarred from WBA puts me in a position of being incapable to hire another attorney as my entire savings was paid to Crowley after believing his dishonest presentation of how he would be able to defend my case in trial. Every red flag I encountered (Avvo Revuews) was brought to his attention (when he rarely became accessible) and his responses have proven to be untrue and misleading. John Crowley has been credible in the past, however my research shows 2016/2017 as completely ineffective and dishonest as he continued to take defendants money with Nothing in return to support the promises he makes to clients in order to receive our money and contract his legal services.. Clearly he is. Ineffective counsel at the very least! I pray for him to rectify his problems and the losing battles he has created for current clients. This is very unconstitutional and forbidden in his profession! - Anderson.

Do Note Hire John Crowley

I hired him for a criminal matter and he did nothing for over six months. After the checks cleared John stopped communicating with me. He was impossible to get a hold of, and would not return my money. If you think you want to hire John I suggest writing to the Washington State Bar Association... and getting his disciplinary files. The number of people that have grievances against John is staggering. I wish I would have known this before I hired John Crowley.

Unprofessional

Mr. Crowley was hired in Feb 2016 for my husbands case. My husband was out in jail Jan 21, 2016. He tod me since the beginning it was a fairly easy case since there was almost no evidence against my husband. He was charging $8500 total with $5000 down and that my husband would be out very soon. His v...isit to my husband was not done for months. He would not return calls. He was always busy with other cases. When he did go he failed to take the interpreter that he needed and the paperwork that was requested. He rescheduled court dates over 19 times. Both prosecutor and judge were upset with all of his rescheduling. When I was able to reach him months later he yelled at me saying that he does not work well under the pressure we were putting on him. He never fought my husband's case in fact he got sentenced to 20 months which a court appointed lawyer could have got him that sentence. He was sentenced Nov 21, 2016 after 10 months of not knowing what was going to happen. He was transferred to prison 2 days later and I still have not heard anything from Mr Crowley or his office. Very unprofessional. I would never recommend him to anyone. Don't waste your time. He just takes your money and forgets about the case.

Way more than what I paid for

The charges were so serious - rape. But John really guided me through the process. This was a few months ago. He didn't really make a big deal out of anything. Really calm and cool under intense pressure at trial. Rape is serious and I was staring at a 25 year sentence. After he beat up on the acc...user, he turned to me and said I think I should go talk to the prosecutor about deal. Why a deal. John said he would offer a misdemeanor with no jail. I heard him propose that to the prosecutor and she then asked how long she had to think about it. He said 5-minutes. I got my no jail misdemeanor and saved 25-years of my life thanks to him. Expensive yes. Worth it. Really yes.

IF YOU ARE IN A JAM - MR CROWLEY IS THE ONE!

This is John Crowley. He defended my interests in a Federal Interstate Stalking and Harassment Case. All others who I interviewed and interacted with fell short. This guy knows what to do and he knows what side he is on. A good lawyer must be quick thinking. A good lawyer is always looking ...for an angle and knows exactly how to proceed all the time. A good lawyer must know the area of expertise of law he is practicing in. A good lawyer must be aggressive. Look at him and ask yourself if he would be a pushover for a mugging. If you answered “no” then he is not going to be mugged in court either. Hire a lawyer that has been a Prosecutor and knows how they think. Hire a lawyer that knows what “dirty tricks” are played on clients by Prosecutors. Hire a lawyer that does not care what a Prosecutor thinks or what he does but does know his motivations. Hire a lawyer that is located in a major city and close to the courts. He should be located close to where he does his work. Ask yourself if he handles himself with confidence. A good lawyer does not treat you as a buddy or a friend. He is all business. Sharp and to the point. If a lawyer calls you more often that you would like – you know you have a very good lawyer. A lawyer that keeps his client informed every step of the way promptly is an excellent lawyer. A good lawyer boasts about big cases he has won and big name clients. Pride in his job is a sign of a good work ethic. Look for cases the lawyer has won against impossible odds. Choose a lawyer that has a math or science degree before going into law. You do not want a business, arts, or religious major handling your case. Lawyers that took basket weaving or business management courses on the way to law school are not as focused and are prone to taking the easy way out. A good lawyer has been in the news and has a relationship with the media. Trial by media is a two way sword that Prosecutors hate to play, especially if they have a weak case to begin with. Prosecutors hate to look the fool. Basically you want a very smart, educated, focused, sympathetic, loyal, pit bull on your side that sees the other side as the enemy at all times and won’t throw in the towel for any reason. Prefer he is independent thinking with no outside ties that can compromise your case. This is Mr John Crowley and I can not say how high my opinion of his work is!
