John Henry Browne

This site really makes me wonder due to the rating you have given John. This man helped me during the first and only time I was faced with a crime. Not only was the charge false but John was able to see the bull-##% behind it and got them dropped. They said Norm Maleng was the heart and soul of of ju...stice, well you can put John right there with him just "on the other side" My gratitude to him is responding to this and since I share his birthday, the last 16 years I give a toast and thank him for how he saved my life.

Mr. Browne comes with a great reputation. That is a tough thing to live up to every day. However when you go to court, even the bailifs and court personnel know that they are in the presence of a great lawyer. He is very compassionate to his clients. He took me on, when no one else cared. At first I ...thought that the "deal" he got for me was just o.k., but as I look back with better vision. He did a great job. He saved me three years on another case where I received 60 days instead. He was able to show the judge the REAL story instead of the b.s. that the prosecutor was trying to snow the judge with. As with all "great" people, they often operate on the edge, because they are knowledgeable and able. Mr. Browne knows when to press the opening to obtain results. Often brilliant, sometimes demur as necessary to obtain results. Each judge is different and therefore requires a different approach. Mr. Browne has mastered this. The AVVO rating is subjective without inspection. I wish there were more John Henry Brownes in this world and if there were, there would be greater justice in this world. This site came to my attention from the Seattle Times article reporting a lawsuit by some attys against the rating process used here. That process is certainly laughable if you know anything about lawyers in Seattle at least. I have a lot of experience with lawyers from my working life but when it ca...me to a family member who got in trouble, I learned the hard way that it makes all the difference who is defending you. I was taken for a ride by an atty rated over 7 by this site. He told us he could handle the case. What a sad tale! This guy was as helpless as a baby in front of the prosecutor. Our case was sunk, our goose was cooked, we were going to grow old behind bars. All this guy wanted to do was slink away with my money and wave goodbye as we were forced to take a nasty plea bargain or spend eternity in jail. Then we met John and hired him in a last minute desperate attempt to change reality. In one appearance in court he totally changed the psychology of the whole affair. In a room full of attys in court, when John walked in, he was approached by many of them like autograph seekers. Bottom line: John worked out a vastly better plea arrangement that was only slightly unfair instead of a gross miscarriage of justice. If it wasn't for him, there would have been years of time in prison instead of months. I personally know many of the lawyers in Seattle listed on this site who have better ratings than John. I hope the judge, prosecutor, and jury are impressed by those ratings because if they aren't you are going to need the services of John H Browne!

It's unlikely that it's possible to find a better attorney and pretty much anyone in seattle who's in the know knows this to be so. When you enter a Seattle courtroom with John Henry everyone in there knows it. The balliffs are respectful, the other lawyers defer, and the judge knows he's in for a go...od one. Sometimes in life people just find what they're great at, and John Henry has found that for himself; he's a Great criminal defense attorney. I was falsely accused of a serious crime, and was looking at many years in prison, John carefully guided us through the woods, operating on knowledge, skill and intuition. He succesfully made every decision that ended with the charges against me dismissed and me being able to get back to living life. I thank John and will owe him my gratitude my entire life. If you need a good lawyer, no a great lawyer, when your life is at stake, when it really matters, do yourself a favor and hire John Henry Browne.
