Washed Up Has Been, "Pathetic"

John Henry Browne was the biggest blunder in my federal case. He was so unprepared for trial that the prosecution labeled him "pathetic." The judge also later described his representation as poor and inadequate. Anyone facing criminal charges for the first time might feel overwhelmed and fall into th...e trap of hiring someone with an inflated or manipulated reputation. The only times I met John were during the initial consultation and to pay him trial fees. The suppression hearing was handled by an incompetent attorney (C.S.) who was nearly ejected from the courtroom by the screaming judge. He fired the only attorney handling my case just days before trial, with whom he had a falling out in another courtroom, later becoming the town's gossip. It's clear now that JHB ensured I didn't have a defense and wouldn't have the opportunity to make a record. JHB did not meet with me after I was convicted and locked away. He told me it was a better place to argue my case on appeal rather than the district court, and besides, he was going on vacation. The judge had few words on record regarding his vacation priority. There were instances of slurred speech and clown-like behavior that made us wonder if he was on drugs or perhaps heavily medicated due to some condition. Turns out he's a known junkie! The case was later handled by a few more inexperienced attorneys, another one (C.V.) to be yelled at and nearly thrown out of the courtroom by Judge Robart, whose behavior raised concerns about his mental stability, to say the least. Unfortunately, it isn't easy to find court filings and transcripts where the public could gain better insight into JHB. Sadly, these real reviews might not do much, as he's enjoyed himself for far too long at the expense of desperate people. I hope no one has to deal with him because your future options may have to be creative and well-motivated. It's best to avoid JHB altogether; nothing good can come of him.

Peeping John

If I would have known JHB had a cocaine problem I would not have retained him as my attorney. If I would have known JHB defended a guy that tried to kill me with a gun that left me in the hospital with bleeding to the brain, I would not have hired JHB as my attorney. If I would have known about “reas...onable doubt” I would have never let JHB pressure me to accept Bench trial when I demanded Jury trial.

John and his team are amazing

Three years ago this month on a October Saturday I was unfortunately facing some very serious charges that could have sent me to prison for a very long time. I bailed out of jail thank goodness to my beloved wife and a very close friend. Never being in legal trouble before I had no idea what to do on... Monday morning after leaving the courthouse from my arraingment hearing. My friend told me he knew of an attorney in Seattle that was very good and might be able to help me. I emailed and called JHB law office. Explaining my situation I was booked an appt the very next day on Tuesday. Once arriving at the office everyone I met or was introduced to was very professional and treated me with respect. I have always believed in hiring the best that you can afford, after meeting John and his staff I would never recommend hiring any another defense attorney if you are ever in need. John, Emma S, Emma A, Craig, Charlie, Kim, Lorie, Greg, Jim all over the course of two years never sugar coated anything to me, from multiple plea offers, to the brutality of going to trial. I had no idea how I was going to get through my ordeal but when you hire John and his team they get you through it if you tell them the truth always no matter how hard, you do what they recommend. I listened as best as I could to everyone, brought my wife to most meetings and a friend to help be my third ear. John believed in me, fought extremely hard for me both before , during and after trial. Going to trial with John on your side is an absolute must, his knowledge of the law is mind boggling to me and quite a few family and friends that attended my trial. My outcome with John as my attorney was absolutely wonderful, without his belief in me, my wife and daughters support I don't know where I would be. It took two long years to get to trial and the entire time beforehand every question I had was answered and explained, possibilities and situations were explained. I am extremely fortunate as I sit here in my home three years later to the month writing this review that I did the right thing hiring John. I owe so much to him and his entire staff, they have an extremely tough job working as criminal defense attorneys. It takes brilliant minds, great positive attitudes, and so much more to wade through our legal system. John and his entire team, from my direct experience dealing with them, are all amazing men and woman. Thank you John, Emma S, Emma A, Craig, Charlie, Kim, Lorie, Greg, Jim and everyone else that I potentially don't know about that worked on my case. You are all fantastic

The Gold Standard

When we first met John to help us with a legal problem regarding our son, we were very aware of his high profile and his persona, but we really didn't know what to expect. He had a very calming effect on on what was a very stressful period in our lives which covered 5 years. The respect he garners in... the courtroom is unmatched. Everyone from the judges, clerks and correction officers knows him and he treats everyone as an equal. The man behind the persona is compassionate and very knowledgeable and has spent his entire career fighting for the little guy and rallying against a flawed judicial system that tends to run people over. John was with us every step of the way. We have gotten to know one another very well now he is practically family. His expertise with the initial case and his help in cleaning up our son's record, the latter which he never even charged us for, were a life saver for us. If you are ever in need of a criminal defense lawyer, there simply isn't anyone better
