About Olia
Biography
Olia Catala’s compassion for immigrants, and understanding of their struggle was the force that pushed her to ultimately make immigration law her career. Olia was a refugee herself when she immigrated to the United States in 1989. Her drive for justice, and love of cultures make her an exceptional immigration attorney who is devoted to helping clients make United States their home. Olia Catala graduated from Seattle University School of Law in 2008, and has practiced as an attorney in WA State since 2009. Her past legal experience included representing clients in a wide range of issues such as Personal Injury, DUI Convictions, Labor & Industries Disputes, and of course, Immigration. As an immigration attorney, Olia has represented clients in immigration court in their removal proceedings, and has taken on countless family based immigration cases. She brings her knowledge of all these different areas as well as her sensitivity to diverse customs and cultures to Catala Marques.
Olia has a long history of community engagements and has assisted as a volunteer attorney with Chinese Information and Service Center (CISC), and Bellevue Neighborhood Mediation Program. She currently provides pro bono legal assistance at El Centro De la Raza’s legal clinic and the Eastside Legal Assistance Program (ELAP). A first generation Immigrant from Ukraine, Olia is fluent in English, Russian and Ukrainian. Olia enjoys spending time with her young son and husband.
