Angelina Marques is a dedicated advocate for immigrant, women, and worker’s rights. She has been working closely with immigrant communities since high school and has spent years working with students with limited English proficiency. She studied abroad in Madrid, Spain and Guadalajara, Mexico, and interned in Jinotepe, Nicaragua, where she advocated against domestic violence. She later interned at East Bay Sanctuary Covenant, an immigrant rights organization in Berkeley, California.
While a student at Seattle University School of Law, she interned at the Alaska Immigration Justice Project, provided legal representation through Seattle U.’s Immigration Law Clinic, and advocated for farm worker rights in central Washington. She also externed with the Honorable Carol A. Schapira at King County Superior Court, and with the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services. After law school, Angelina enjoyed volunteering with Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, where she provided assistance on asylum, DACA, and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status cases.
Angelina is fluent in English and Spanish, and enjoys volunteering as an attorney El Centro De La Raza’s Legal Clinic and the Snohomish County Legal Services’ Housing Justice Project.
