I needed a lawyer to handle an immigration case for a family member. The case required submitting multiple USCIS, gathering supporting materials, medical examination, and so on. It might be a bit overwhelming for someone who has never done it, especially if one considers potential delays caused by si...mple typos or even mismatched info. I hired Olia Catala wih Catala Immigration, PLLC for helping with the case. From a start, Olia provided very clear and concise high level view of the process, overall timeline and roadmap. Instead of brute force help with filling in a dozen of USCIS forms that confusingly ask for the same info over and over, Olia compiled a questionnaire compiling all forms and eliminating duplicated entries. Guidance was provided for tricky things like identification and translation of (outside of US) place of grandparent birth, names, etc. This saved lots of time, effort, and mistake on my side if I decided to on my own. Then Olia prepared a package with all forms filled in from the questionnaire and we did a lengthy review to make sure everything was correct. Olia was very patient and answered all my and my family member questions. Such an approach did make us feel confident and in “good hands”. Further, Olia helped with all other required stuff that is outside of her lawyer expertise by providing references to other providers (e.g. medical examination, vaccination, etc.). Personally, I felt that we were a long pole because Olia was instantly replying to our emails and calls regardless if it happened outside of normal work hours or over weekend. I have to especially underscore how Olia was patient and respectful of my older family member who was obviously uneasy about the whole thing though Olia always would calm us down and give this warm and cozy feeling. Effectively, we had a ready to submit package under 3 weeks. Olia handled the package delivery to USCIS as well including making all necessary copying, documenting, and tracing. Olia explained what was supposed happened, in what order, and tentative timeline (at best her knowledge of course). Olia was tracking our case and routinely notifying us about the progress. We did not receive any request for clarification or questions on the package we submitted. Everything went smoothly and in surprisingly short time. Overall, we are satisfied and happy customers. I will not hesitate to greatly recommend Olia to a close friend or family.
