I do not recommend this attorney. My father reached out to him regarding an issue with a dui I received almost 3 years ago (I live in a different state but still had my WA license at the time I was pulled over). He had two conversations with my dad (which I was not aware of). I called him myself to d...iscuss the issue since it is MY case. I barely got a word in before Mr. Sanders interrupted me and became argumentative. I could not understand why he would not let me fully explain the issue (DOL is claiming I did not comply with requirements when I did and have proof that I did). Eventually he mentioned having had two conversations with my dad at no charge and that talking to me was a third one. Again I wasn’t aware of the extent of their conversations and it seemed he was short tempered with me because he wasn’t being paid to listen to the reason I was seeking his service. He spoke to me as though I was an idiot and was trying to “get around the system”. I have the utmost respect for the law and followed everything as I was told to do. There is a discrepancy and I would like to put this experience behind me. We were actually looking to retain him for my case but after today we will be going elsewhere.

I contacted Michael for my wife's speeding ticket. He seemed nice and asked a couple questions. I did all the leg work for him. Informing him of the new Judge for the court as well as the new prosecuting attorney. Michael informed me that he had a good talk with the new prosecutor and that he wou...ld be doing things differently. There was no communication between Michael and us prior to him accepting a deferral. There was no discussion of any alternative and no EXPLICITE acceptance of the deferral. HE just unilaterally accepted. No standing before the judge to fight. NOTHING! Being a private citizen you can file a deferral on your own with out an attorney. I hired him to get it expunged with out using the deferral.

I first called Michael rather in a panic mode - he was very patient in explaining to me my options without trying to get me to hire him at all. I did hire him anyway and man, I am glad I did. He knew what he was talking about, he took care of it all. So when a family member got in another situatio...n, I without hesitance recommended him, and again: got her out of the ticket. The flat fee is helpful as you then don't worry about additional fees this and that. Thank you.

Mike went way out of his way to provide me advice and guidance in the early stages of sorting out my "Driving to Fast for Conditions" citation (I did not receive my hearing notice, so I missed my hearing and had an FTA) well before I had committed to using him as my lawyer. There were several times m...oments where I was worried and going "Mike, what do I do next," and he always replied with "Don't worry, that's what you hired me for, I'll take care of it." Perhaps the most telling moment, which showed that Mike really cared about serving me as a client, was when I received a notice from the Dept of Licensing (DoL) telling me that they were still planning on suspending my license despite the FTA being vacated. I emailed Mike asking him what to do at 9 pm the night I received the notice, and he called me back within 20 min to get more details, calm me down, and with his suggestions for what to do next; it turned out to be a miscommunication with the DoL.

Mike is an amazing lawyer. He was always there for me wether it was day, or night. He made sure all my questions were always answered and I was always informed. He made sure that I always knew what was going on with my case. He was very understanding, and acted more like my friend in my attorney. Mik...e even pullud off a miracle when he saved my license from being suspended with the DOL which is extremely hard to do. I would recommend Mike to any of my family or friends. He will always be my go-to lawyer if I ever needed one again. Thanks Mike! Nick
