I’m incredibly passionate about the rights of immigrants because my husband is an immigrant. He loves the United States and is a better citizen than most native-born Americans. Also, I’ve travelled the world and learned that we are all the same; we’re all human beings and deserving of basic human rights. Just because someone wasn’t born here doesn’t mean they don’t deserve to have a chance at the American dream. America is a land of immigrants. Our culture and economy are stronger because of immigrants. Our immigration system should treat immigrants fairly and with respect, and when it doesn’t, I will fight for you.
