About Larry
Biography
I am a Pacific Northwest native. I graduated from the University of Washington in 1983 and the University of California Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco in 1986. Upon graduation, I decided I wanted to serve the people with whom I grew up, so I moved back to the Seattle area and began a general law practice which provided a variety of legal services such as family law, estate planning, small business consulting, and workers’ compensation. However, I soon realized that the work I found most compelling was representing the injured, who were often in desperate need of assistance to rebuild their lives after suffering a career or life-altering injury.
In 1990, I changed my practice to solely represent the injured. The firm I founded has now grown to include three attorneys and 15 paralegals and office staff. Eight members of my team are also bilingual in Spanish. Our firm provides legal services to clients who have suffered injuries, either in an auto accident or other personal injury, or while on the job. We also now offer services to help people with social security disability benefits.
My background has left me with progressive values and a desire to ensure my firm does its part to promote diversity and social equity. Lehmbecker Law is a leader in Washington State, equally serving all members of our diverse community and we would love to help you, too.

Horrible experience

Replied last February 09, 2018Dan, I apologize for not responding to you sooner, as I initially was unable to locate you in our system as a former client. I now realize that I was unable to identify you because you never were a client of my firm. We did, however, represent your wife for an injury claim. I understand that you were frustrated that your wife had to pay her medical bills from her settlement. A medical bill, like any other debt, must be paid unless the person to whom the debt is owed will waive it. As you know, your wife’s chiropractor did not waive the debt. Because he had an equitable lien on your wife’s settlement for that debt, it had to be paid from the settlement. Likewise, your wife signed a fee agreement with my firm. Our firm members worked a great deal on her case to get as high a settlement with as little costs as possible. We even managed to put over $2,000 in her pocket from the settlement after the medical debts and legal expenses were paid. She approved of this settlement and her case was closed. I’m sorry that you are not happy with how your wife’s claim turned out. I’d recommend that you both obtain health insurance and automobile insurance to ease the burden of medical debt in the future.
