I retained Mr. Peters on 4th of July weekend, 2008 and maintained a continuous business/legal relationship with him for 'five plus years', as a Plaintiff on a money collection case; I was owed a considerable real estate commission for the sale and closing of a successful business and related real est...ate. I have been in the real estate brokerage business for forty plus years, and have had to hire several lawyers throughout the time period, and never maintained a legal professional personal relationship with any for over a few months to one, in handling the legal matters at hand. Mr. Peters is assuredly the most competent lawyer, most thorough in preparation for trial, drafting of pleadings, conducting discovery, and trial experience in his oral presentation of the legal issues and associated facts I have ever been associated with, be it as my lawyer or any opposition lawyer. His court room composure is 'unbelievable', as he instantly adjusts/adapts to the continuous changing oral arguments/environments of theories or facts as presented to the bench; which often alter the original best laid plans/preparation of prior legal theories in how to present his side of the matters at hand, prior to the actual oral arguments before the bench. He is the best prepared lawyer in any hearing, discovery proceedings that I have personally witnessed in his representation of myself. In the civil matter Mr. Peters represented me, we were dealing with very unscrupulous defendants along with a couple of the their lawyers with similar traits of the four in total they retained over the five year period. Mr. Peters conducted himself with the highest standards of professional ethics/integrity, and while doing so prevailed almost one hundred percent of any pleadings or hearings. In the end, shortly before trial date with the court, a prudent mutual decision between us was made for settlement, as the defendants more than likely unable to pay any judgment that would have been entered against them; their know assets market value was less than the debts encumbering them. The settlement amount was considerable, and was five years plus a month from the date of engagement in 2008.
