Preys on DV victims; makes promises not kept; sabotages cases to drop them without notice
I had the same awful experience as Penny. She preys on DV victims, sabotages the case (the opposing counsel someone knows…), and then drops an already challenging family court case without any discussion. The court notice of withdrawal will arrive in the mail and if you try to get in touch with her,...

Experienced, saavy, listens to understand, works for resolve
I got an excellent divorce settlement. The attorney responsible was retired when the ex-husband began short-paying, late-paying and then not-paying spousal maintenance. My eml reminders and requests for pmt got creative excuses, unkept promises of pmt and then silence. NEEDED, an experienced, saavy ...

Kiona and I connected through the company she used to work with, and she gave me the option to continue to work with her when she left that company and started her own - I agreed. Kiona never sent me an agreement for the arrangement and during mediation revealed to the mediator that she was working P...
Dear JH: It has taken me sometime to process this review and think of the appropriate response. As you know, the review was posted very recently, though you had written it in 2018. First, I would like to apologize for any frustrations you had with your representation. It is never my intention to provide anything less than the best service to my clients. The time you reference in your review was a hectic time, as you were aware, as I was dealing with the abrupt transition to a new law firm. You were kept in the loop as to my new office and we even had conversations about ongoing litigation and what, unfortunately, my new office would have required from you financially. We spent all day in a very emotionally taxing mediation, with a mediator that gave you more grief than anyone should have. It was a challenging day, but I stuck by your side the whole way and never advised you to do anything that was out of line or you couldn't agree to. You understood the realities of settling that day or proceeding to trial. We even spoke on the sidewalk in front of your new employment when I happened to walk by months later. While I disagree factually with a lot of what you have said, in no way am I dismissing or diminishing your concerns and what you experienced. If there were a way to make things right with you, you know I would in an instant. After the last time we spoke in person, I had no idea that you felt this way or I would have fixed the problem then. I appreciate you taking the time to provide this feedback and hope that I have grown as an attorney over the last two and a half years to not have other clients leave feeling the same way. If you'd like to chat any further about this, please feel free to reach out. I am happy to sit down for a virtual cup of coffee and connect. Wishing you the best, Kiona

Best Lawyer Ever
When I really really needed a lawyer and had been looking around for weeks and kept being turned down because I'm a single mom and don't have thousands to put down on a lawyer Kiona was there for me. She let me set up a payment plan that worked for me and set up a retainer fee that I could actually a...

I was extremely impressed with her ability to adapt and confidently argue for a positive outcome for her client. I highly recommend reaching out to Kiona if you have a family law matter!"
"Kiona is a great attorney and potential clients should definitely consider her. Many attorneys have problems returning phone calls or answering a clients questions, but you will not have these issues when you hire Kiona. She is rapid to respond, and cares very much that her clients UNDERSTAND what is going on with their case. I very much endorse this attorney."
