David came to Seattle in 2004 to attend law school and soon after his first year of school he began working as a legal intern. While continuing his education, David also participated in a work study program working as a law clerk focusing on individuals injured in auto accidents.

After law school, in 2008, David founded his own law practice in Federal Way, where he represented clients in the areas of personal injury and criminal defense. In 2012, David began working as a public defender in Bremerton, handling misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor cases. Later, he worked in Seattle as a solo practitioner, serving clients in the areas of criminal defense, personal injury and insurance bad faith.

As his legal career proves, he is determined to help those in need. David currently focuses his practice on personal injury and criminal defense.

Helped me feel confident

David Ranz was able to quickly represent me when I didn’t understand what was even happening for criminal charge. He educated me on how everything worked, let me know game plans, and really made me feel like I was being represented in MY best interest rather than previous experience where it was whatever was easiest for that nameless attorney. He responds quickly and was definitely the right choice.

Informative and prompt

I was involved in an accident where the person at fault was also insured by my insurer-needless to say, the insurance company was not very helpful but David was able to negotiate a settlement that I was more than happy with. Whenever things changed or were settled, I was promptly informed. David went above and beyond-I was able to get ahold of him when I had questions. As far as that goes with attorneys, that’s the most important thing for me. I’d recommend him any day.

It's All About Your Story

Every situation has a story to tell. My attorney, David Ranz, is a gifted negotiator because he draws people in with a story about the case that they can relate to. It's real, and he's authentic-- and it shows. My case was a slip and fall and his attention to detail and weaving the story so well with his thoughtful strategy won the amount we expected. I hadn't really put it together before this that you need a combination of a "people person", a strategist, a story-teller, and one that can collect the facts with attention to detail. I would ask him to represent me in any area that he's comfortable in.

I was referred to David after another attorney decided my case too difficult and wasn't worth his time. David fought for me through a very long and difficult process with the insurance company. He explained everything to me so I could understand what was happening and always kept me up to speed with my case.
