Martin Thompson "forgot" to respond to the other side in time, and my case went into default judgment. After promising me daily updates on the case after the default, he ignored and avoided my calls. Took his sweet time doing NOTHING to solve the problem while I am having daily panic attacks. My othe...r lawyer had to advise him what to do to get the situation sorted out, which cost me more money. After seeing the reviews that I have left, his office "offered" me a full refund like they are doing me a favor. They had to give me a full refund anyways so I refused. He has cost me more heartache and money. And even until this day, I am suffering from his mistake and I do not wish this on anyone. Go find someone else in Bend, any lawyer in Bend will be better and be more responsible than this guy.

Failed to attend to important phone calls, paperwork, emails, failed to hold opposing counsel to discovery process with financials, failed to advocate for client. Will take your retainer and file all paperwork in the beginning. The advocacy stops there. Made a complete mess out of my divorce. my exs ...attorney took full advantage of me. I am now looking for another attorney to hire and will have to take out a loan in order to do so. I am very surprised this guy is on this site, with 5 stars. Even the Deschutes County clerk says he sees complaints constantly wondering "How this guy is still in business" Run. If OSB followed through with complaints, he would be run out of Bend.
