Casey was very helpful and insightful from the start. I left our first meeting feeling like I could trust my case with him. The outcome was better than I could have hoped for, and my experience along the way was accommodating. Casey, and the team, were communicative and transparent. I am so grateful he was leading the way. You need to look no further if you are seeking counsel.

As the founder/owner of two businesses in Bend, Oregon since 1998, I've faced many challenges in my career. As a 53 year old man, I've faced many difficult situations in my life. The most distressing, gut-wrenching situation I've ever faced started two months ago.
I was accused of injuring one person and endangering three others with my vehicle at the exit from a parking lot. It was a high profile case, due to my business ownership and that the alleged "victims" were politically charged and wanted to use me in order to be viewed as martyrs for their cause.
The truth is, I absolutely did not injure or endanger anybody, even the police who arrived on the scene assured me that I'd broken no laws, and that the story against me was fabricated.
Nonetheless, our District Attorney decided to press charges.
Predicting a jail sentence as likely, and damage to the reputation of my businesses already developing, I spiraled into a level of depression I'd never previously conceived possible.
I knew I needed an attorney right away, and I needed a good one.
The story painted against me, although false, was compelling.
After interviewing a few attorneys, I called Casey Baxter.
He took my call right away, and my decision was made- this was the man to represent me.
Over the course of the next couple of months, Casey and I communicated countless times. After each meeting, I felt more and more confident I'd chosen my attorney wisely. He was truly there for me. A mutual trust developed between him and me; I knew Casey had my back.
Last Friday was the hearing.
The DA was the first to speak, I'd prepared for him to paint a negative picture of me, but as he spoke, I stood there stunned at the level to which he did so.
Then it was the "victim"s turn to speak. At this point, I figured I was finished, and jail was seemingly inevitable. I notice the expression on the face of the judge as she took in the (mis)information, there was no doubt she was preparing to sentence me harshly.
The goal of the DA was jail time + $5,000 in fines.
Then it was Casey's turn to speak.
It was like I was in a losing gunfight and the Cavalry showed up.
Casey calmly and confidently explained the true events of the day of the incident, pointing out what kind of person I truly am- drawing from my gentle-natured, altruistically motivated career and personal life, and I watched the tension on the judge's face melt away.
I was sentenced to community service + $200 in fines.
Casey Baxter is a man for whom I have unmeasurable respect.
He saved my reputation, my businesses, and renewed my faith in humanity.
Recommend him?
That's an understatement.
This man is my hero.

I obviously can only give a reference based on my experience and that is what this is. My experience. This firm represented me and my best interests as good as I could have expected. It's my opinion, I got the best possible outcome for my situation other than a complete dismissal - which was not to be reasonably expected for my circumstances. Casey is a brilliant attorney. He used to be an ADA for Deschutes County so he knows how prosecutors think and how they look at cases. Casey is personable, friendly and a highly competent and experienced attorney. His Executive Paralegal, Kerri, who essentially runs the show, is amazing. You'll spend the vast majority of your time working with her if Casey is your attorney. Be nice to her... And patient... You're not their only case... but she is incredibly talented and highly professional and will work hard for you. Casey is an excellent, highly regarded attorney and he has a lot of cases because of this. Which makes him and Kerri very busy. If you need an excessive amount of hand holding and phone time they may not be for you. But, if you're willing to trust them and let them do their job... they'll come through for you. At least they did for me and like I mentioned... this is a review based on my experience. I also want to add my experience with Ryan, another attorney at the firm. He handled the final negotiations of my case. I have similar sentiments about him as I do Casey and Kerri. He's an excellent attorney and I believe he did an excellent job explaining to me the various factors of my case, the details of the hearings, the potential outcomes and ultimately, like I said, I got the best possible outcome I could have hoped for. This firm, and the people who worked on my case, Casey, Kerri and Ryan, guided me through an extraordinarily difficult time and difficult situation with compassion, professionalism and grace and I'm very pleased with the final outcome. I highly recommend this firm.
