Professional, Intelligent, and hard working!

My wife and I were building a new home on the Oregon coast and ran into major issues (it's a brand-new house but we already needed to replace the roof and siding, and there was a list of about 50 other things wrong); with the contractor / builder who completely failed us. After talking to a couple of... less qualified lawyers, we found Lann and he agreed to take the case. Right from the beginning Lann worked diligently to understand all the issues and figure out the best way to represent us so as to minimize the attorney’s fee's while helping us to recoup as much of our losses as possible. Through the entire, stressful process Lann and his staff were great. He was able to reassure us when our doubts would get the best of us and his initial assessment of what we could expect, in terms of compensation, was right on the money. Like many real estate / building cases, the issues of who is at fault is ambiguous at best but Lann's methodology for representing the case was intelligent and he was able to invalidate many of the untruthful accusations brought against us and instead bring to light all the mistakes and poor building practices by the builder, which allowed us to recoup a good amount of our losses. We are very thankful for all his hard work and dedication.

Tenant/Landlord Dispute

I was referred to Mr. Leslie when I was sued by my landlord. It was a complex case and very stressful. When we went to court, Mr. Leslie was well prepared. On the third day of trial my case settled. I am extremely pleased with Mr. Leslie and the way he preared my case, presented himself and co...mmunicated with me and my case witnesses. I would highly recommend Mr. Leslie.

A great experience

Lann has an excellent manner and disposition to make a very stressful and traumatic experience endured with confidence and minimal stress. He's reassuring in the worst of times. He has excellent knowledge of the law and relays that knowledge in language that is easy to understand. There were no un...expected traumas. His personality and guidance kept us on-track and kept us from going off on non -productive tangents. We were in good hands, and we knew it all along.

Lann Leslie's outstanding representation of clients in the winning of a complex real estate lawsuit

Lann Leslie was our attorney, representing us in a very complicated real estate law suit that kept growing in complexity on a weekly basis. During depositions and discovery, we became knowledgeable about new people and critical information that consistently required our game plan to be altered. Lann ...was preternaturally skilled at instantly seizing, digesting and utilizing new salient information; and then turning it into insightful knowledge that would simultaneously alter and strengthen our case. He was so adept at wielding this skill; he could turn what would initially appear to be a fresh obstacle into a gleaming strategic facet of our overall line of attack. The above statement is by no means overstated, and actually is insufficient in giving proper recognition to the many plans and actions that an exceptional attorney must execute in order to maintain doing an exemplary job for his or her client. I think it would be worth mentioning specifics about how Lann represented us with distinction. In the giving of the examples below, it should be noted that due to limitations that this reviewing platform insists on, I will be unable to come close to fully delineating the many significant reasons that demonstrate how Lann should be considered the gold standard of attorneys. About a year into our two year case, my wife and I realized that the case was becoming too complicated for our attorney, and agreed to hire Lann to team with him to see if we could tame the Hydra the case was becoming. Had we decided to not to hire Lann, it is without a doubt that we would have not known, by a long shot, the success that he ultimately engineered. From the get go I liked him, as he showed a patience and caring toward us much like a great teacher shows to a student. He did not relegate me as a person who lacked the intelligence to possibly assist with the development of the case. On the contrary, he ingratiated me with insisting that I be involved through sincerely listening to my ideas and giving me honest feedback; teaching me about the law as it applied to stratagems; giving me real assignments to build particular elements of our case; and generally speaking with me concisely yet thoroughly, in terms I could always understand. I felt like I was an instrumental crew member of ship being navigated through dangerous waters by Captain Cook. Because the case was already in the midst of being developed by another attorney, Lann was presented with a immediate and urgent situation that required that a truck load of information needed to be quickly and expediently assessed, organized and prioritized. He also had little time to finagle how to best team with our existing attorney while, at the same time, usher his different and fresh direction for our case. He did so with aplomb. After taking command, he gave our case, that was beginning to drown in evidence and its analysis, a new life. He had a vision and took action. In depositions, the attorney for the other side did a good job of taking up the stage and creating an intimidating presence. Up until Lann represented us, I sensed that the seasoned opposing attorney was very wily and would stand a good chance of successfully defending his clients by the shear nature of his imposing presence. When Lann first sat with us during the ensuing depositions, he expertly turned the bulldog on the other side of the table into a yippy lap dog. I was equal parts relieved and rejuvenated about our chances of prevailing. Lann never wasted time or opportunities, yet knew when to sit back to wait for the opposition’s move. He played this approach with an easy cunning as would a lion hunting the unsuspecting deer. Lann orchestrated a nearly full settlement. Without him, our chances of winning any settlement were slim, and if we had settled, we would most likely have won a fraction of that which Lann Leslie, (via transforming doubt) willed success, beyond expectation.
