I have been practicing criminal law for over 25 years. I care about my clients, I work hard for them and I always tell them the truth. Sometimes the truth is hard to hear, but I won't do it any other way.
In the last 5 years, I, along with my investigator, Eric Mason, have had some amazing wins. We were able to free a man wrongfully convicted of three murders (the case was featured on Dateline--the episode was called, "Murder Mountain"), we got dismissals in a sex abuse case in Dallas, Oregon, and in Oregon City, Oregon. Also, I appealed the wrongful conviction of a woman who was in prison for a sex abuse she didn't commit. We got her out, finally, after years of fighting for her freedom. In the last year, we were able to get another man's murder conviction overturned. The State is currently appealing that decision.

Andrew Todd
Mark Geiger did an excellent job representing me. The DA gave me a decent offer. Mark said he would try to get a better offer. He went the extra mile for me and got me a better offer. He is very competent in the complicated legal system. He was very understanding of my situation and my family and I a...

Mark was fantastic!
I hired Mark a few months ago, on a case 7 yrs. old. I was sentenced 2 yrs., but only did 6 hrs. Now, I was a little skeptical, but with Mark’s knowledge and professionalism, the whole case worked in my favor. I would recommend Mark Geiger to anyone, and everyone.

Amazed
Mark asked me in our consultation, of how I would like the results to end up, if I hired him. I told him that I would like to have my charge reduced to a lesser charge. I wasn't sure what to make of Mark , during our initial meeting. I looked around his office and noticed a plaque on his wall that...

Do not hire this man
I wish I had read these reviews before hiring Geiger. He over charged, was non responsive, missed timelines and deadlines. It is a small office and not professionally run. His " secretary" is some gal working off her iou bill to him. Don't hire him. We lost in court and all I did was pay pay pay.
I am sorry that this person is unhappy. However, the review lacks honesty. First, the person laments because he/she wishes she read the reviews on AVVO. Well, the reviews are mostly very positive. Additionally, there are very few deadlines and timelines in criminal cases. For example, there would be a deadline for filing certain motions. When I file them, which is only when necessary, I don't miss those deadlines. Second, I am offended that this person would criticize my secretary, who is not "working off an IOU" and who is very good at what she does. Third, I do not over charge; in fact, I am usually cheaper than many other lawyers. Clients know exactly what they have to pay when they hire me, because they sign a contract, agreeing to pay a flat fee. I often take payments. Finally, very few of my clients "lose" in court. If they do, it is either because they did not have a good case or because the judge made an error. In the later case, those losses can be appealed. Finally, it is obvious that this is a person who is angry and seeks to blame others. I am sad for him/her. People come to me who are in trouble and I do everything I can to get them out of it. Sometimes, the best we can do is to mitigate the punishment. I do that regularly.

Knowledgeable, Professional, Super Efficient.
Mark Geiger and team didn't hesirate to take on my case. They kept me updated regularly on its progress and we're very helpful with every question I had. Without a doubt my case ended successfully because of Mark Geiger and his team's amazing work. His law office will certainly be my first call if I ...
