I absolutely recommend Jordan New

I hired Jordan and am so glad I did. He has professionally fought on our behalf and delivered real results. His extensive experience and knowledge proved to be an incredible asset. I highly recommend Jordan's services to anyone in need of representation in family law proceedings.

Fantastic family law attorney

I hired Jordan for a custody and support dispute. He and the team at his firm were excellent. They were knowledgeable and responsive, and their billing practices were fair and transparent. I would recommend him to anyone in need of a family law attorney.

An expensive mistake

I hired Mr. New to simply update a parenting plan and submit updated calculations to child support due to an income change. The $3,000 retainer I felt was standard and the task would cost far less. So I pulled it from my savings. I never met him in person and we did our communication via email. N...ever in my life have I needed to respond to so many emails. Being charged for every one of them. Mr. New made several mistakes during this time. I was charged for pointing them out. I asked Mr. New for legal advice at one point because I didn't want to make a decision about health insurance based off emotion. He did not offer me legal advice, but he did charge me for the email. In his response, he pitched his services for a prenup agreement because I told him I had just been engaged. I was charged for that. When the trust had requested more money because it was down to about $450 I couldn't believe it. I told Jordan I couldn't pay the trust any more money. He told me it would cost about $450 to file the paperwork and asked if I wanted him to go ahead and file it. I told him no. I'll file it myself. I didn't even want to tell him thank you. Because how much would that cost? When I filed the paperwork at the courthouse, the court clerk informed me Mr. New used the wrong title for the documents I was trying to file. So she called his office and I was charged once again for his mistake. Finally, about a month went by and Mr. New helped himself to basically the rest of the money. $342. "Case closing $110 Prepare $67.50 Phone call $27.00 Pleadings $137.50 A $3,000 email thread and no legal advice. Thanks Jordan, But I think I'm going to decline your offer to draw up a prenup for my fiance and I. She is not impressed with how you handled my case. Neither was the court clerk in Washington County.

This client needed a modification of his existing parenting plan and child support. There was no agreement with the other party when my office was hired, but we reached an agreement quickly and efficiently. The "mistakes" this client refers to were two apparent typos he made on his Intake Form, which were corrected by my office at no cost to him. This client seems to suggest he was pressured to pay for additional services, namely, a prenuptial agreement. The "pitch" he refers to was to congratulate him on his engagement and state "If you decide you'd like to have a prenup in place to secure your assets or address support issues, we'd be happy to help with that." He indicated that he would like to have us draft a prenup but never followed up on it. There were no other communications whatsoever from my office or me on the topic. My office is always happy to help our clients with legal matters within our scope of practice. The error on the paperwork this client initially submitted to the court was due to him changing the nature of his requests after we completed the paperwork for him. My office corrected the error for him. My office bills by the hour, as do nearly all other family law firms. We are always willing to discuss the individual charges with clients. This client had every opportunity to do so, but did not bring it up. We wish him the best moving forward.

Jordan is amazing!

Jordan helped me through one of the most difficult times in my life. He was thoughtful, thorough, had the utmost attention to detail, going above and beyond in every respect. He walked me through everything I needed to know about the process and assisted me by taking the stress off. I knew I could... count on him to get the job done well. I would not hesitate to use him again, if I needed to and I refer him to everyone I know who needs a good attorney.

Exceptional

I highly recommend Jordan New. At the initial meeting, I sensed that he was someone I could trust and would represent me well. He is very professional, knowledgeable, organized, diligent, efficient, and a personable attorney. He is proactive, very responsive and clear and concise in his communica...tion. I appreciated his calm and caring approach during this difficult process. He showed a keen instinct and quickly evaluated information and made decisive actions during the hearing. I appreciate the outstanding representation in my family law case.

"Jordan and I both started out as Deputy District Attorneys in one of the busiest offices in the state, Multnomah County. It was common for attorneys in our position to have multiple trials per week, sometimes 3-4. Jordan had an impeccable trial record and a sterling reputation. Since leaving the District Attorney's office Jordan has broadened his area of practice handling family law and medical malpractice. I've known Jordan for over 7 years now, and I can say with confidence that his work and professionalism are of a very high quality."
