He gets mad, then gets even

I hired R Milan Hanson of Medford, OR to represent me in a dispute for a contract that was between family members. He wouldn't sue my nephew for performance as I asked, so my nephew sued me. When I wanted to seek a second opinion, Milan Hanson was so angry that he glared at me from behind his desk ...and said nothing for an hour. I should have turned tail and bolted from him! But $5,000.00 up front from me was too much for him to turn down. Later, Milan asked me, "Who sued first?" What?!! All of his petitions to the Court were full of errors. He didn't want to know the case. He refused to take depositions. He denied me a settlement conference and told me one week prior that the case had been scheduled for trial. So I rushed home and planned to meet with him during the pretrial week. He was too busy in Portland to meet with me and my witnesses or at any other time prior to trial morning. We had no preparation, zero. At trial he laughed at the judge twice; he presented none of the evidence that I gave him for trial; in fact, he offered NO evidence whatsoever at trial, deferring to the other side's evidence. He told the judge he'd be out of there in 45 minutes. He refused to call my #1 witness telling me that that would be overkill; ordered me to say nothing to him during the trial and to show no emotion; then he shoved copies of an email and text over to me during trial and asked me to underline what I wanted him to question me about, and asked only those couple of questions. He ridiculously grimaced and opened his hands as if his pockets were empty when I looked to him for a piece of evidence that the the other side had requested and that I had given to him. He offered no written evidence of my damages, and he opened his phone and told me that he had made a mistake. So he verbally amended my damages by $110,000.00 less to the judge with no explanation at his short closing argument while he laughed at the judge. He verbally told the judge, "No!" and shook his head when the judge mentioned him appealing. Refer to Case No. 19CV20315. Judgment went against me. Milan Hanson caused me to lose over $65,000.00. He wouldn't meet with me or speak to me about the judge's decision, rather it was dumped on my lap by his assistant in the lobby of his office because he was too busy. I was told to read it on my own. I seriously advise that no one use Milan Hanson or R Milan Hanson for any real estate transaction that involves litigation or that may progress to litigation. He loses cases, and when he gets mad at a client, he gets even. He doesn't care as long as he gets paid up front, laughing all the way to the bank.

RUN, do NOT hire this guy

Countless things went wrong during our time together, so I'm not sure where to start. When I told him my concerns that he never returned my calls and I couldn't reach him, he actually yelled at me and hung up. I have called his office several times and he won't even face me. He's unprofessional, im...mature and shouldn't even be in business.
