Biography
Anthony has represented accused individuals in hundreds of criminal cases and has spent his entire career in retained criminal defense. He advocates for his clients at all stages of pretrial litigation, trial practice, internal inquiries, and pre-indictment criminal investigations. His advocacy is driven by empathy, curiosity, creativity, and communication.
Anthony is licensed to practice in state and federal courts in both Oregon and Washington. He is an active member of the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers’ Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Anthony was named to SuperLawyers’ list of Rising Stars in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Anthony was previously a clerk at the Federal Public Defender’s office in Portland, and worked for the Oregon Innocence Project. Anthony received his BA from Gonzaga University, and his JD from Lewis & Clark Law School.
Anthony is interested in developing legal issues that intersect with science and technology. Past representative cases have involved litigating issues related to human anatomy, brain science, criminal forensics, and computer crime.
