I highly recommend Cynthia Newton and her team

Being hit by a car while cycling was a traumatic experience. Facing the complexity of the medical system and insurance companies while recovering was not a prospect I wanted to face alone. Fortunately, the law firm Thomas, Coon, Newton & Frost was recommended to me and Cynthia Newton agreed to repres...ent me. Her team is outstanding. While it took months to resolve my claim, they were professional, extremely competent, communicative and caring. They are expert with cycling cases.. The positive outcome in my case was due primarily to the knowledge and diligent work of Cynthia Newton and her team. They come highly recommended for good reason.

Highly Recommend Cynthia Newton and Her Team

Cynthia Newton represented me in a personal claim injury. As a pedestrian in a crosswalk in downtown Portland, a car hit me as I was leaving work. An ambulance took me to a Portland hospital. I was unable to walk for almost 4 months due to an ankle fracture and nerve damage. The insurance company of ...the driver that hit me tried to play hardball and blame it on me – despite the fact their driver was at fault. They harassed me with phone calls and letters. (His insurance company is a well-known, nationwide company that can be quite aggressive to fight.) At first I tried to deal with them in good faith on my own. When they would not admit fault and insisted their driver was not at fault (despite the fact he hit me in a crosswalk) - I decided I had enough and needed an attorney to help me. I was trying to heal from my injury and couldn’t deal with their aggressive behavior and the stress it was causing me on top of it. I found Cynthia Newton through a referral. I have not been involved in an injury case like this before and had no experience working with an attorney. If you find yourself in a situation like this, trust me, it is in your best interest to work with an attorney like Cynthia. Cynthia and her team were instrumental in helping me win a settlement. She is a skilled negotiator - very smart and experienced. She negotiated with both his insurance company and mine. I did not need to deal directly with either. Cynthia did. (As it turned out, the driver that hit me was underinsured so Cynthia needed to negotiate with my insurance company as well.) In a situation like this – you are best served working with a skilled negotiator liked Cynthia. My insurance premiums did not go up – which was important to me. Cynthia has an excellent legal assistant that documented all of the medical expenses I incurred (i.e. medical procedures like MRI), doctor visits and physical therapy. Needless to say, this entailed lots of paperwork and PIP, medical providers, and insurance companies correspondence.) She was on top of every detail. This is important because before settling you want to ensure that all of your expenses have been considered in the settlement. If not, you may be liable for medical expenses after settlement. Cynthia and her very competent legal staff always kept in close personal contact with me throughout the process of achieving a settlement that I felt was reasonable and fair. The case was settled to my satisfaction before trial due to Cynthia’s expertise and excellent team.
