My husband and I hired Jacob to help us with a dispute with a contractor. We appreciated Jacob's ability to help us weigh the pros and cons of our legal options. We were switched to Jacob at Jordan-Ramis after our prior attorney changed practice areas. Jacob was new to the firm but came up to speed on the issues & history quickly. He had a good understanding of our concerns and developed a series of legal arguments that supported the facts in our case. Wi...thout spending a lot of time he researched case history to provide supporting precedents for our position. What I particularly appreciated about his approach is that he was able to combine a practical construction oriented understanding of the situation along with the many legal aspects surrounding a real estate transaction. And unlike some lawyers he didn't get too wrapped up in the legal process. Jacob's final interaction with the plaintiff's lawyer was a comprehensive aggressive letter marshalling the facts and legal issues of the case and it left us in a good position in the event the other party decided to continue pursuing the case (which to date 18 months since they've not). Had the case gone to mediation or trial I would have been very comfortable with having Jacob represent us.

Sometime's "it's the principle of the matter." In my opinion, that's when you really need a reality check of those principles and someone to give you sound advice. If you find the right person, most often you'll understand those principals are often a by-product of emotion. If you can take the emoti...on out of the problem, there's often a simple solution. That's what I feel I received with Jacob. What I appreciated most was his attention. Even though my legal matter was small, I felt it was important to him. Knowing he would fight hard if needed, yet have the rational discipline for sound judgment which led to the better choice.
